Airports

All airports are about a 30-60 minute cab/uber ride to Midtown Manhattan. Obviously, this is not during rush hour...all bets are off 🙃 SAFETY TIP: Soliciting ground transportation is illegal and solicitors can be unlicensed and uninsured. If you’re unsure about a taxi or car service, please visit the Port Authority Welcome Center located in the arrivals area of each terminal, where uniformed staff will be happy to assist you.

LaGuardia Airport

LaGuardia Airport – colloquially known as LaGuardia or simply LGA – is a civil airport in East Elmhurst, Queens, New York City, situated on the northwestern shore of Long Island, bordering Flushing Bay. <----- TRAVEL TO & FROM LGA -----> ---> BY TAXI IS OUR RECOMMENDATION <--- ---> TAXIS ARE YELLOW OR GREEN <--- ---> DO NOT GET IN BLACK CAR <--- ---> UNLESS IT IS AN UBER OR LYFT <--- <-- By Taxi --> A cab to Midtown Manhattan should be between $30-$50. Metered taxi service is available at all LaGuardia Airport terminal buildings. Please follow terminal wayfinding signage or speak to an Airport Customer Experience Specialist to locate the taxi pick-up area. <-- Car Services and App-Based Ride Services --> A number of transportation services, including private car services and app-based ride services such as Uber, Lyft, and Revel are available at LaGuardia Airport. <-- Public Transportation --> LaGuardia Airport is served by five different bus routes operated by the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA). The M60 and the free LaGuardia Link Q70 are Select Bus Services, which make fewer stops and feature luggage racks and more seating. The Q47, Q48, and Q72 buses make many local stops throughout nearby neighborhoods in the borough of Queens. Most people traveling to/from Manhattan, other boroughs, or the Greater New York region will use a Select Bus Service and either the subway or one of the MTA’s two regional commuter rail networks, Long Island Rail Road and Metro-North Railroad. Please note that the Q72 and LaGuardia Link Q70 only serve Terminals B and C. Location of Bus stops Terminal A (Marine Air Terminal) Bus stop is to the right upon exiting the terminal, past the Departures Hall, and across the street. Terminal B Bus stop is on Level 1, two floors below check-in and one floor below baggage claim. Terminal C Bus stop is on Level 1, one floor below check-in and located on same level as baggage claim outside doors 14.

John F. Kennedy International Airport

John F. Kennedy International Airport is a major international airport serving New York City and its metropolitan area. JFK Airport is located on the southwestern shore of Long Island, in Queens, New York City, bordering Jamaica Bay. <----- TRAVEL TO & FROM JFK -----> ---> BY TAXI IS OUR RECOMMENDATION <--- <-- By Taxi --> Between JFK and Manhattan -- Flat Fare is $70 to the first destination (plus tolls and tip). The taximeter and receipt should reflect that this trip is a flat fare. *There is no $1 peak time or 50-cent night surcharge for these trips.* Metered taxi service is available at all JFK Airport terminal buildings. Head directly for the taxi stand located outside each terminal for safe and legitimate transportation. <-- Ride App & Car Services (e.g. Uber or Lyft) --> Terminal 5 Ride App Pickups (e.g., Uber or Lyft) for arriving passengers is now in Terminal 7 Orange Garage roof due to Terminal 6 construction. Convenient access is available from the Terminal 7 AirTrain station. The customer journey to the pick-up area is expected to be approximately 15 minutes via the AirTrain to Terminal 7. This change only affects passengers arriving at the airport. Departing passengers can still be dropped off at the front of the terminal. <-- Public Transportation --> AirTrain JFK JFK Airport is well connected to the NYC Public Transportation Network. For most connections to that network, you will need to take either the Jamaica or Howard Beach AirTrain to those stations. NYC Subway System The AirTrain links all passenger terminals with NYC’s Subway system at Jamaica and Howard Beach Stations. At Jamaica, you can take the E line or the Long Island Rail Road. At Howard Beach, you can take the A line. New York City subways accept credit cards, debit cards, Apple pay, Wallet pay and the OMNY card as well as MetroCard. You can pay your AirTrain single ride fare with any of the contactless methods above or with a MetroCard.

Newark Liberty International Airport

Newark Liberty International Airport is a major international airport serving the New York metropolitan area. The airport straddles the boundary between the cities of Newark in Essex County and Elizabeth in Union County, New Jersey. <----- TRAVEL TO & FROM EWR -----> ---> BY UBER/LYFT IS OUR RECOMMENDATION <--- <-- By Taxi --> Between EWR and Manhattan -- All hotels are located within Zone 2 - W 14th St. - W 50th St. Flat Fare is $65 to the first destination within that range (plus tolls and tip). Metered taxi service is available at all EWR Airport terminal buildings. Head directly for the taxi stand located outside each terminal for safe and legitimate transportation. <-- Ride App & Car Services (e.g. Uber or Lyft) --> $2.50 per-trip airport access fee is applied to all for-hire vehicle (e.g. Uber, Lyft, etc.) drop-offs and pick-ups. There is a $1.25 discount applied for pooled rides. <-- Public Transportation --> AirTrain Hours of Operation 5:00AM to 11:00PM: Arrives and departs every 3-5 minutes daily. 11:00PM to 5:00AM: Arrives and departs every 15 minutes (approx.) daily. Please note that during these hours, AirTrain runs as a shuttle service which may require train transfers to reach your final destination. To & From EWR The Newark Liberty International Airport Train Station can be reached via Amtrak rail service to/from New York Penn Station. New York Penn Station to/from EWR: 30 minutes (approx.) After arriving at EWR, passengers should budget extra time to transfer to the AirTrain platform, wait for the AirTrain to arrive, and travel on the AirTrain based on the frequency of service listed in the prior section. Once on board, passengers can expect an additional 7 to 20 minutes for traveling between terminals. Terminal C: 7 minutes Terminal B: 11 minutes Terminal A: 20 minutes *The AirTrain does not connect directly to Terminal A.*
