FAQs

The Wedding Website of Teresa Wittleder and Jake Mills
Here's a quick breakdown of some questions we thought you might have for the weekend. If you have any additional questions please feel free to send us an email at marrymemills@gmail.com!
Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP via the RSVP tab by September 8th to ensure that we can provide an accurate guest count to our vendors.

Question

Where are the welcome drinks?

Answer

Welcome drinks will be at Agency of Record on 118 E 40th St from 7:30-9:30. A cash bar will be available.

Question

What is the easiest way to get to the ceremony?

Answer

Summit Rock is located between the W 81st and W 86th street entrances of Central Park. Please enter from the W 86th and Central Park West entrance. It is accessible by uber, cab or the following subway stations: 81st and Central Park West (C train) or 79th and Broadway (1 train). If you plan to drive, there are various parking garages on the Upper West Side.

Question

What time should we arrive for the ceremony?

Answer

You can begin arriving for the ceremony at 2:30pm for a 3pm start.

Question

Will there be seating at the ceremony?

Answer

Central Park does not allow any outside furniture to be brought in so there will be limited seating for the ceremony. There are about a dozen benches available onsite, but we do request those be made available first to our guests that require accessibility.

Question

What will the weather be like on the day?

Answer

NYC falls are a bit warmer than they used to be so we expect it to be between 60-70 degrees on the day.

Question

When does the reception begin?

Answer

The reception will begin at 5pm with cocktail hour. There will be about an hour gap between the ceremony and cocktail hour so we recommend taking a nice leisurely stroll downtown through the park or grabbing a cocktail at one of the many bars NYC has to offer!

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

The dress code for both the ceremony and reception is cocktail attire. Men: Wear your flyest suit! Ladies: Any cocktail dress that lets you dance comfortably is perfect! We do recommend avoiding long dresses or stilettos so your attire doesn't get dirty as you walk through the park, but you do you boo!

Question

Is there a rain plan?

Answer

Our ceremony site is completely uncovered to enjoy the beauty of Central Park. If inclement weather is forecasted, we will likely move our ceremony inside to the Skylark, but this will be announced as needed.

Question

Are you providing transportation from the park?

Answer

We will not be providing transportation from the park. Available transportation options It is a quick 10-15 minute uber/cab ride to the Skylark. You can also utilize the C train at 81st and Central Park West or the 1 train at 79th and Broadway.

Question

Are plus ones and children allowed?

Answer

The name of every guest invited to attend is listed on the invitation and no additional guests can be accommodated. As much as we love all of your children our wedding is an adult only event so we can selfishly have your full attention. Thank you for your understanding!

Question

Have you booked hotel blocks for the weekend?

Answer

Yes, our hotel blocks can be found under the "Travel" section of the website.

Question

What time does the reception end?

Answer

The reception will end at 10pm.
