NYC has tons of airports, but Newark (EWR) is the easiest and most convenient to Hoboken! EWR is 13 miles from Hoboken and approximately 30 minutes by car. Uber/Lyft fares will range from $25-$40+ each way. LGA is 13 miles from Hoboken and approximately 45 minutes by car. JFK is 20 miles from Hoboken and approximately 60 minutes by car. Travel to/from JFK and LGA requires several tolls and passing through the city which can face a lot of traffic depending on the time of day. Uber/Lyft fares will range from $75-100+ each way.

Transportation Tips

We highly recommend our guests use Uber/Lyft throughout the wedding weekend. Transportation to/from the airport is most efficient and cost effective. Parking in Hoboken is limited (and expensive!). Hoboken now has Citi Bike! You can rent bikes using the Citi Bike or Lyft apps and pick-up/drop off throughout Hoboken! Keep in mind, Hoboken is only 1 square mile, so walking around or grabbing a quick Uber/Lyft is very easy!

Please be advised there is only 1 hotel in Hoboken, The W Hoboken where a courtesy room block has been arranged, as it is the easiest and most convenient to all wedding events. Hotels in the surrounding areas (Jersey City, Weehawken, Manhattan) will require a car for transportation.

NYC Tips

Hoboken sits on the Hudson River directly across from Manhattan. Getting to/from the city is easy and convenient! Please reach out to us for our list of NYC recommendations! PATH Trains run between Hoboken & mid-town every 12 minutes on the weekend. The Hoboken PATH Station is a 10-minute walk from The W Hotel (3.5 blocks). Tickets are $2.75 per person per ride and can be loaded onto a MetroCard for ease of travel once in the city. NY Waterway is a ferry service between Hoboken and Manhattan. Ferries travel between the Hoboken 14th Street Ferry Terminal and 39th Street in Mid-Town Manhattan every 20 minutes on the weekend. The Ferry Terminal is a 20-minute walk from The W Hotel (1 mile) located on the 14th Street Pier. Tickets are $9 per person per ride & can be purchased at the Ferry Terminal or using the NY Waterway App. Uber/Lyft run between Hoboken/NYC on demand. Rates will vary based on destination. We recommend using Google Maps while navigating to, from & around the city.
