Do I get to dress up?

Answer

Yes! If you’ve been looking for a reason to don a suit, dust off your fancy dress, and learn how to tie a bow-tie, our wedding is it! The wedding party will be in tuxes and long dresses - but wear what you feel like is appropriate for a cocktail attire dinner party. With lots of dancing!

Is this an adults-only weekend?

Answer

Yes. As much as we love your munchkins, please plan on making this an adults-only overnight adventure. However, you are welcome to act like a kid as the weekend goes on.

Will the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception take place indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Mostly indoors, but we will be outside for a bit. Our cocktail hour will be outside on the grass behind the Pavilion - just in time to catch the sunset over the mountains. Our ceremony and dinner will be indoors.

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP as soon as you know your plans, so we can plan for YOU! If you are planning on booking overnight accommodations, we recommend booking as soon as you are able.

What is this texting thing?

Answer

We've decided to embrace technology, and are working with "Text My Guests" to keep everyone in the loop. If you've ever been in the middle of a giant group text, you know how cumbersome it can be. With "Text My Guests", you will receive timely information from Kevin and Laura (and the ability to text us back!) without receiving everyone else's replies. To share your information with us, visit www.mukosiejwedtext.com/start. No need to download an app or pay for anything! We promise to share some fun pictures leading up to the big day -- in addition to some practical stuff as well (like directions to the church and the Crest Pavilion on the day of!).

What time should I arrive to the ceremony?

Answer

Music will begin 30 minutes prior to the ceremony at First Baptist Church, and ushers will be available to escort you to your seat. Just don't be tardy to the party ;)

Is there parking available at the wedding venue?

Answer

Yes. First Baptist Church has a large parking lot downtown. The Crest Center and Pavilion also has available parking.

What type of food and drink will be served during the cocktail time and reception?

Answer

Cocktail time will be our favorite cocktails, mocktails, beer and wine, with hors d’oeuvres aplenty. Dinner will be afterward, and a cake cutting with assorted desserts. Y’all better come hungry!

Can I take pictures during the ceremony to post on social media?

Our ceremony will be held in the Sanctuary at First Baptist Church. To maintain the reverence of this time and place, please do not take photos or video. We have hired a professional photographer and videographer - we promise to share everything with you all later!

Sure! We will have a place for gifts and cards.

When will the reception end? Will there be an after-party?

Answer

Our reception will be wrapped up by 11:00PM, from there we will head to Daddy Mac’s Down Home Dive which is on Biltmore Ave downtown/South Slope. We’ll have the upstairs loft and bar to ourselves. Daddy Mac’s will have a late night menu available too! (For Asheville folks, this is the same location as the old Wild Wing Cafe)
