FAQs

Please feel free to reach out to us, but we thought this page might answer some common questions :)
Question

Where do we park at the church?

Answer

There IS ample parking, but you have to know where to look (ironically, the construction is because they are building a parking garage, among other things). Please see the map included with your invitation or visit: https://pcpc.org/workspace/uploads/files/pcpc-parking-weddings-1up-2opt-5c7943856e97e.pdf In addition to the lots shown on the map, ample parking on Lakeside is allowed according to signage.

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Please let us know and we'll do our very best to accommodate you!

Question

What safety measures are planned for the ceremony?

Answer

We fully understand everyone's concern for safety (we're concerned, too!) and we're working carefully to ensure we host the safest event possible. While everything is subject to change, this is what we can tell you today: -The church has a safety team in place (including a doctor), and all plans will be approved by the team -The church can normally seat around 1,000, but they are only allowing 230 for services. We are *substantially* under that and will be very well-spaced! -Individually wrapped masks and hand sanitizers will be available for each guest upon entry. At this time, the church is requiring that they be worn. -The ushers will act as "guides" for contactless seating -We will have 30 minutes of fabulous prelude music, so everyone will not need to enter at the same time -Order of service will be printed so no one has to share; hymnals will not be necessary -We will have a new pen for each household to sign the guest book

Question

What safety measures are planned for the reception? Part A

Answer

The Warwick is going above and beyond government standards to provide a safe event space. This is what we can tell you today: -First off, the hotel just reopened July 1 for the first time since the shut down. They chose to remain closed in order to deep clean the entire facility. Furniture has been removed from rooms for deep cleaning, common spaces have been thoroughly cleaned, etc. -The hotel will have masks and hand sanitizer available upon entry, which they are requiring we wear unless eating. Staff will be working throughout the event to promote continued safety - We will have use of an entire wing of the hotel, it will be closed to any other hotel traffic, and restrooms just for the wedding will be available in this wing -The hotel has a plan for an acceptably distanced cocktail hour, and have assured us if something can't be done safely, we just won't do it! - Tables will be distanced, and we will group all family members together. - Continued below....

Question

What safety measures are planned for the reception? Part B

Answer

- There will be no buffet. Each meal will be served, covered, directly to the diner. Silverware will be untouched until you touch it. We will have a cake displayed per tradition, but the cake you eat will come fresh from the kitchen! - We hate this part, but at this time we're respectfully asking that you save hugs for the bride and handshakes for the groom until the world has calmed down a bit :-) Our goal is to celebrate our love, the start of our marriage, and the wonderful people in our lives.....and send you home again safely! - Continued below...

Question

Did we consider postponing?

Answer

Yup. A lot. Every alternate date, however, came with its own list of potential concerns and complications, so we're just gonna get hitched now (as safely as possible). If you feel, for any reason, that it is unwise for you to attend, please know we fully respect your decision, and there will be no hurt feelings. The ceremony was always going to be live-streamed for out-of-town family that could not travel, and it may be accessed here: https://pcpc.org/live/weddings/
