We met at the dessert table at the BSSF Tailgate Party in 2015. I had been with the firm for less than a month but had yet to meet Matt. According to picture evidence, we were eating cheesecake at the time.

We went to Bethlehem to visit the Christmas Market because Matt knew how much I was obsessed with Christmas. Fun Fact: Matt never forgets our anniversary because it's on the 15th like every tax deadline. He's going to have to think of some other fun way to remember our wedding anniversary from here on out.

Our proposal was spontaneous. We were visiting Alexandria, Virginia (a little stir crazy from not being able to travel all year). We were sitting outside on the patio, watching someone else get married and started discussing our own future. When Matt said, "We should get married." I, thinking he was joking, responded with, "You're not going to get away with not getting down on one knee and telling me you love me." And then he did just that and now we get to live our happily ever after.
