The Wedding Website of Katherine Marra and Dylan Dove
We're getting married in a castle!!! Castello di Montegufoni is located in the heart of Tuscany, just 20 kilometers south of Florence. The exact date of the origin of the Castle is not known, but it is very likely that it was built between the 10th and 11th centuries. Please keep in mind that June is peak season in Italy. While it is the most beautiful time to visit, it is also the busiest. Please book flights as early as possible to ensure a fun and easy trip!

Hotel

Castello di Montegufoni

Via Montegufoni, 18, Montespertoli, Florence 50025, Italy

We've secured exclusive use of the castle, which will accommodate all wedding guests, for the duration of the wedding weekend (Thursday, June 18th - Sunday, June 21st). All guests will stay at the castle, as this is where all events and gatherings will take place. Booking information coming soon.

Flight

Florence Peretola Airport

The nearest airport is Florence Peretola Airport FLR (aka Amerigo Vespucci Airport), which is 30 km from the castle. The next closest airport is Pisa International Airport PSA (aka Galileo Galilei Airport), located 65 km from the castle. You can also fly to Rome and take a train to Florence.

Train

Firenze Santa Maria Novella

If you are traveling to or from a nearby Italian city, we recommend that you take the train to Firenze Santa Maria Novella. TheTrainline.com is a great website for booking your train tickets.

Travel Note

Additional Travel Notes

Since the public transportation in Florence can be quite unreliable and you will most likely be exploring Tuscany throughout the weekend, we recommend that you rent a car, if you are able. Consider splitting and carpooling with friends and family! If you are unable to rent a car, taxis and buses are also an option. You can take a taxi from the Florence airport or train station to the castle. The castle reception staff can help you call a taxi from the castle to any other location. There is a bus line between the castle and Florence. The closest stops to the castle are Baccaiano or Montagnana.
