Yes, it’s happening—we’re getting married! No, you can’t object. Yes, there will be dancing. And now, the story of how two people met, flirted, and somehow ended up planning a wedding together.
It all started at the most romantic place imaginable: Walmart, Register 8. He was the smooth-talking cashier who knew exactly what he was doing. I was the new girl with no clue how to void a transaction or where the “PLU” button was. He trained me like a gentleman—but he was definitely flirting. Then came the move—a piece of paper slid across the counter with his number and the words: “Just in case you need to use it...” (Boy, please.) So obviously, I did. One text turned into long convos, nonstop laughs, and a full-blown romance that neither of us saw coming.
Fast forward to White Plains, New York, where we were visiting his brother on base. We went out to Beso Taco Bar—super cute spot, great food, 10/10 yucca fries. I had just finished eating, living my best post-taco-bowl life, and sitting there looking at my fingers (don’t ask why, I was just vibing). Then—bam—he stands up and says: “Brianna.” I turn, and this man is down on one knee with a ring in hand, asking: “Will you marry me?” Now pause. I already knew he was going to propose. I told him, very clearly and more than once: “Please, don’t surprise me.” And what does this man do? He surprises me. Naturally. And the wildest part? No one else in the restaurant noticed. Not a single gasp, cheer, or “awww.” Everyone was too busy scrolling through TikTok while my man was over here making life decisions on the floor next to a taco bowl. Spoiler: I said yes. Because of course I did. He was cute.
We’ve gone from Walmart coworkers to wedding co-planners, and we’re so excited to celebrate with you. Get ready for a day full of love, laughs, and probably someone crying during the ceremony (we’re placing bets). Let’s do this thing. 💍🎉
