Maid of Honor
When Marne presented her with her MOH "Proposal", before she even opened it she shouted, "IS THIS MY MAID OF HONOR THING, YES!!!". Clearly, it was inevitable since they first became a duo in their freshman year at Flagler College, she eventually would stand by the bride's side. Sara is hilarious, loud and has one of the biggest hearts in the entire world. She would drop everything if she ever knew someone she loved needed her. Marne knew this immediately when she had a little too much to drink at a party, Sara found her and put her pajamas on her and tucked her in to bed with plenty of water on the nightstand. She'll tell you how it is every time, and everyone needs someone like that in their life. Sara has been planning Marne and Dane's wedding more than they have since they all met!
Best Man
Dan Gow - The man who introduced the couple! How could we ever thank him?! Anyone who knows Dan know that he is loyal, kind and single. No seriously - does anyone have a nice girl for him? But in all seriousness the Bride and Groom consider Dan as part of their family, and their dog Dee Dee definitely does too. Dan is one of the greatest friends you could ask for. Anything you need, Dan's got your back, and it's been that way since him and Dane were kids. It only makes sense that he gets the groom's back on his big day.
Bridesmaid
Marne has always considered Tammy (and her biological sister Tracy) as sisters. They grew up next door to the bride and since she was 5 years old she has looked up to them. Marne remembers all of Tammy's crushes during her "boy-crazy" time and still remembers teasing her with Tracy on their first family cruise vacation together saying "But I love him!" constantly. That's ok though, because Tammy got her right back calling her "Sugar Booger" (for reasons you can probably figure out) from when she was a little kid! They have come a long way from the bride's brother Sam introducing his baby sister as "Barney" to Tammy and Marne being furious about the joke. Marne was honored to be a part of Tammy and her Husband Jay's wedding a few years ago and needs her by her side during hers!
Groomsman
Ian is the youngest brother of the Carmichael boys. Although, Ian is all over the place, we always enjoy when he's around to spend a little time with us! Ian is the "wild-child" of the family, and we'll be a little disappointed if he doesn't do at least one backflip at the wedding. Family is so important and Dane is so happy to have his brothers by his side during his wedding.
Bridesmaid
As mentioned in Tammy's description, Marne considers Tracy as a big sister. From the bride throwing coconuts down the stairs in Exuma, Bahamas at 5 years old yelling "Give me a good reason why not!" at her and almost drowning her when coming across a barracuda while snorkeling, to becoming best friends with her son Bobby (don't worry, she's working on Colin too), Tracy has always been a huge part of Marne's life. If Dane is going to have his brothers to support him on their wedding day, Marne needs her sisters there too!
Groomsman
Jordan is the middle brother of the three Carmichael boys. He lives in Virginia now working as an IT Technician, but we always look forward to his visits! Jordan is witty and will often have you laughing with a clever offhand comment that you don't expect. We will be diverting all fashion advice at the wedding to him, as he always has the greatest sweaters and shirts. Dane is excited to have his brothers stand by his side at his wedding, and hopefully he'll catch the groom if he passes out from nerves!
Bridesmaid
From the moment Carly walked onto the school bus in middle school and sat next to Marne, it was inevitable they would be life long friends from then on. Carly has often been referred to as Marne's twin or "mini-me", especially when they had matching short haircuts for a while. She is the most fun, energetic and sassy little hippie you will ever meet! Between traveling down the shore to Wildwood together as teenagers and being nerds together in the West Milford High School plays, Carly has been a huge part of Marne's life for a long time, so it's only natural that she stand with the bride on the big day!
Groomsman
Sam is Marne's older brother so I guess you could say he's been around a while. Their brother-sister relationship had a little bit of a rocky phase when they both were teenagers (as most do), but after they were away from each other during college, they realized during visits how much they missed each other and how valuable their relationship truly is! Sam is one of the most genuinely kind-hearted people you will meet on this planet. He wants everyone to get along, be happy and enjoy life; and if there's a way he can help with that, he will! Sam is currently an administrative assistant at The Florida School for the Deaf and Blind in St. Augustine, FL. The bride and groom are so happy to have all of their immediate family standing with them at the alter!
Officiant
The decision regarding who will officiate the future Mr. and Mrs. Carmichael's nuptials took all of five minutes to decide once that conversation was had. Uncle Jim, Dane's father's "brother" has been a source of love, support and laughter for the couple since the beginning of their relationship. The combination of his impeccable style and way with words made him the obvious choice for the job. Jim is also no stranger to this position, as he has said blessings at other couple's weddings and is very involved with Hillsong Church. His spiritual connection will be a source of guidance for the couple and they appreciate him taking on this very important role more than they can explain! We can't wait to hear what he has prepared for the ceremony on May 11th!
