Our First Date:

3.05.2016

We had our first date on March 5th, 2016. Paul texted, “Wanna grab coffee?” I replied, "I wouldn’t mind grabbing a drink.” Paul asked if I had ever been to Yardhouse before. I said I had and that I liked the place. I told him that I was going to be working that morning and he offered to pick me up after my shift ended. I was working at Edible Arrangements on McClean Ave at the time. A few minutes before I got off of work, he texted me and let me know that he would be a few minutes late. I figured that meant he would be 30 minutes late, so I decided it would be a good time to get a manicure. Ten minutes later, he texts me “I’m here.” I was in the middle of my manicure at that time, so I began to panic. I wasn’t sure if he would wait, but luckily he did. Paul waited more than 30 minutes for me to finish my nails. After finally picking me up, we went to Yardhouse for dinner. We began to chat and the conversation just flowed. We didn't want the day to be over and decided to go to another spot to continue to enjoy each other's company. We went to Yonkers Brewery and kept the conversation going for a few more hours. From that moment, we knew there was something special between us.

The Proposal:

7.26.23

July 26, 2023 @ 5:17 am Where: Acadia National Park, Bar Harbor, Maine. In Spring 2023, Paul asked if I would like to plan a vacation for my Summer Break. He asked if there was any place I would like to see, I picked Acadia National Park in Maine. It is a beautiful spot with great views of the ocean and good hiking. Little did I know that it would also become one of the most memorable spots of our lives. We drove 8 hours to get there and spent the first day and a half hiking and exploring. For the third day, Paul said he wanted to see the sunrise over the ocean. He woke me up at 4:30 am to get to the Cliffside at Otter Point. If you know me, I am NOT a morning person, so that was a real struggle, but we made it in time. We got to the cliff and prepared for the sunrise, but a fog rolled in. We, unfortunately, didn’t see the sunrise that morning, but it was still a beautiful sight and an unforgettable moment!

For all the days along the way
