The Melting Pot in Littleton is a certified haunted location. It was previously the town jail where there was a failed escape attempt which led to the death of an inmate and jailer. The staff have great stories of their own supernatural experiences working there.
While a little bit of a drive, the Stanley Hotel in Estes Park is always a great visit! If you want to take part in the ghost tours be sure to book ahead of time as spots fill up quickly. Estes Park is also a beautiful town with much to do and will fill your whole day with fun activities!
We have not been to this location yet. Molly Brown was a survivor of the Titanic and it is claimed she haunts the house she lived in.
We have been here a couple times for seasonal themed events. In October they have an event called the Magic of the Jack O'Lanterns. Many artists come together to create 1,000's of beautiful pumpkin carvings complete with music and light themes. It is outdoors so be prepared to bundle up! Halfway through the walk there is a cute outdoor cafe with delicious snacks, food, and drinks appropriate for all ages! Be sure to book tickets early as they spots can fill up rather quickly.

Spanning 40 acres, Haunted Field of Screams: A Ride to the Riverdale Gates of Hell is a thrilling indoor/outdoor experience. This attraction runs for a month, from the beginning of October til Halloween. So you’ll have plenty of time to head to this spooky attraction this Halloween, located just 15 minutes from downtown Denver.
Experience Extinction Live Action Haunted House! Groups are 4-6 people. Make your way through the haunted house where you will be given a laser tag gun to shoot at the zombies and monsters to take them out before they get you.
For active folks who love hiking, there are 21 miles of trails to explore in the Garden of the Gods. Explore a Colorado Springs' paradise in one magical stop. Garden of the Gods Park is a registered National Natural Landmark. Imagine dramatic views, 300' towering sandstone rock formations against a backdrop of snow-capped Pikes Peak and brilliant blue skies. Lindsey and I went here twice within the same year and although it can get packed, it's very easy to hike and a lot of fun to do so.
This is one of our favorite hikes! We love to come here, hike halfway around the reservoir, and hang some hammocks for several hours. We have been here time and time again and we always have fun! We highly recommend this hike! Discover this 5.2-mile out-and-back trail near Boulder, Colorado. Generally considered a moderately challenging route, it takes an average of 2 h 25 min to complete, although you don't have to go all the way around the reservoir. This trail is beautiful and we have been there many times! This is a popular trail for birding, camping, and hiking, but you can still enjoy some solitude during quieter times of day. The trail is open year-round and is beautiful to visit anytime!
We went here for an afternoon hike in 2020 and the views are incredible! The hike itself is pretty easy and at the end of the trail is a lake in-between the mountains. This great trail is a perfect option for a day trip with an incredible destination. Lost Lake is a beautiful place to stop for lunch and enjoy the beautiful scenery and wildlife that inhabits the area. Keep an eye out for moose as they are commonly seen along this trail! Definitely one to check out if you have the time!
