Gross Reservoir

Forest Service Road 359, Nederland, CO 80466

This is one of our favorite hikes! We love to come here, hike halfway around the reservoir, and hang some hammocks for several hours. We have been here time and time again and we always have fun! We highly recommend this hike! Discover this 5.2-mile out-and-back trail near Boulder, Colorado. Generally considered a moderately challenging route, it takes an average of 2 h 25 min to complete, although you don't have to go all the way around the reservoir. This trail is beautiful and we have been there many times! This is a popular trail for birding, camping, and hiking, but you can still enjoy some solitude during quieter times of day. The trail is open year-round and is beautiful to visit anytime!

Lost Lake Trail

1120 Hessie Rd #1104, Nederland, CO 80466

We went here for an afternoon hike in 2020 and the views are incredible! The hike itself is pretty easy and at the end of the trail is a lake in-between the mountains. This great trail is a perfect option for a day trip with an incredible destination. Lost Lake is a beautiful place to stop for lunch and enjoy the beautiful scenery and wildlife that inhabits the area. Keep an eye out for moose as they are commonly seen along this trail! Definitely one to check out if you have the time!
