Lindsey and Matt met at Joliet Junior College in the summer of 2011, where Matt was majoring in Computer Science and Lindsey was going for an AAS as a Veterinary Technician. They met when they were interviewing for jobs as "Community Ambassadors" at the apartment complex that they both lived in. They became close friends instantaneously and remained friends until 2013 when Matt moved to Dekalb to go to school at Northern Illinois University and Lindsey began working as a Vet Tech. They reconnected in December 2015 over their love of music and frequently hung out over the coming months. In February 2016, they went to a concert by an electronic DJ trio by the name of Black Tiger, where Lindsey was first introduced to the EDM community. Since then, they have shared their love for adventure and music by traveling all across the United States to attend music festivals. In July of 2019, while Lindsey was in school at Chamberlain College of Nursing, Matt and Lindsey began discussing moving away from the Chicagoland area, and relocating to Colorado. They booked a 7 day trip to Colorado in May 2020, where they hiked Rock Park in Castle Rock. Once Lindsey graduated, they decided to enter a new chapter in their lives and move. Lindsey began working as a Registered Nurse, and Matt continued to work in Information Technology. Together, Lindsey and Matt, along with their pets, Renly and Jace, have spent their time going on hikes, traveling, experiencing new foods and surroundings, or simply being at home and enjoying movie marathons together. On July 5th 2021, Lindsey and Matt hiked Rock Park again, only this time, they also scaled the 50 foot tall rock at the top of the trail. Exhausted, sweating, and out of breath, they sat down to enjoy the end of the hike, and just as the sun was beginning to set over the Rockies, Matt got down on one knee, told Lindsey how much he loved her, and proposed. Through their adventures together, they have learned several lessons, but one lesson stands out: Not all those who wander are lost...
