Sara and Ryan were both living in Austin, Texas in July of 2020. As you may recall, 2020 was the year of social distancing, unless that is, you lived in Texas! (kidding) Luckily this did not stop Sara and Ryan from wanting to meet up after matching on dating app Hinge*. However, they had to wait 14 days before they could meet in person since someone *cough* Ryan *cough* had Covid. Fortunately because of those two weeks Sara and Ryan exchanged countless text messages and a couple facetime dates which solidified they still wanted to meet up in person for an official date. Their final obstacle came the morning of their date, when both had gone out the night before and consumed one too many tequila sodas with extra lime. While they both individually contemplated canceling the date, they powered through the hangover and met for breakfast. Sara and Ryan had planned a trip to Moab to celebrate Memorial Day with some friends. Now, if you know anything about Sara, it is that she has to take their dog June everywhere with them (literally everywhere). Well, three days before they were supposed to leave, with June of course, Ryan told Sara that June couldn't come anymore. Instead, he extended their trip and booked a hotel for them in Aspen on the way home. Immediately Sara knew something was up, because, if you know anything about Ryan he is NOT a planner. On May 29th, 2022 after two full days in Moab, Ryan forced Sara to get up at 4 AM for them to start their drive to Aspen. Upon arrival, they rented e-bikes and started the trek to go up to the Maroon Bells. What started as a beautiful ride with the sunshine quickly turned into a cold ride up to The Bells in the snow! At the top, Ryan suggested they walk down to the water to get a better view with Sara responding sternly "No" having forgotten the feeling that something was up. Eventually he persuaded her, and Sara walked down towards the water, reluctantly of course. At the end of the trail, while Sara took photos of The Bells, Ryan went down on one knee. He said "Sara" and as she turned around, the only words that came out of his mouth were, "Sara, will you marry me?". Sara screamed "Yes!!" with liters of tears and mascara running down her face and a smile bigger than you can imagine!

We can not thank you all enough for the love and support you have shown us individually throughout our lives, and now moving into our combined future. We feel so lucky to be able to love one another and have you all come to our new home of Colorado to celebrate with us!
