Rose’s little sister who passed in 2020. Rose’s closest friend and angel. Maid of Honor couldn’t be given to anyone in her place. It was always meant to be Rachel and so it was decided this honor would remain hers. There will be a place for Rachel at the wedding to honor her importance, memory, and the love that will never cease to exist between these sisters.

Steve

Best Man

Bob’s brother. Not just brothers but best friends. These two are regularly hanging out together and always have each other’s back. Steve is always there to offer his little bro words of wisdom and laughs are shared regularly between these two. Bob couldn’t imaging anyone but Steve to stand beside him on his wedding day!

Niki

Rose’s brother introduced Niki as his girlfriend years ago over dinner. That dinner was spent laughing and joking. Rose had no idea just how important Niki would become to her. Rose moved to PA soon after meeting Niki so they didn’t develop a close relationship right away, but once Niki brought Rose’s nieces, Kryslyn and Rayla, into the world they started spending a lot more time together. Niki and Rose have become very close over the years. It may have been Niki’s daughters that brought them close at first but the friendship that cultivated from that connection stands strong on its own. They have shared so many special moments that no one else would understand. They laugh at inside jokes, and understand each other's joy and pain. Rose can't imagine anyone who would make a better best friend, and is so happy to have Niki in her life, in her family, and in her wedding!

Dawn

One of Rose’s very best friends from Texas. In 2013 Dawn and her husband were regular customers at Rose’s job, so when a mutual friend invited Rose to go to Dawn’s house she tagged along. That night Dawn and Rose connected over their favorite wine and a strong friendship began! Dawn has been a major support through Rose’s adult life, seeing her through some of the hardest times. They’ve been there for so many of each other’s accomplishments and struggles. Rose couldn’t imagine not having Dawn by her side on her big day!

Nikki

Rose’s best friend since middle school. Nikki helped shape the person Rose is and she couldn’t imagine her life without such a wonderful person in it. These two have grown through every quirky and awkward stage of life together, celebrating their achievements and milestones all along the way. No matter the distances life takes them, they always know they have a very best friend in each other. This is not an ordinary friendship, this is a life long friendship that feels like home and family. Rose is so happy to have Nikki by her side for another beautiful moment in life.

Bob’s sister who Rose bonded with quickly after meeting her. Ashley is someone Rose admires for her big heart and willingness to help others in need. Rose has enjoyed growing close with Ashley and having someone to laugh with. Once Ashley and Rose discovered they share a love of musicals they became broadway show buddies! Rose considers Ashley like a sister already and is honored to have her by her side.

Bob’s childhood friend and co-conspirator on many occasions of mischief growing up… and even now. Josh has always been close to the Markewinski family and has stayed close to both Bob and Rose since they settled in Pittsburgh. He’s a lifelong friend without a doubt!

Charlie

Charlie is a regular guest at Bob & Rose’s house. He always has some new game to play when he visits. Bob and Rose enjoy playing board games on the weekends with Charlie and Steve. The competitiveness definitely comes out but the best part is Charlie’s hilarious dramatic reading of game rules. He’s an irreplaceable part of their little garage gang!

Carlo

Groomsman

From video game buddy to being a close friend, Carlo quickly found lifelong friends with Bob and Rose! Him and Bob met playing Call of Duty and eventually he came up to Pittsburgh to visit where he stayed with the couple. Carlo easily fit right in with the garage gang of friends and everyone was sad to see him leave! He is an important friend and the couple is so happy that he agreed to be part of this important day!

Close friend of Bob & Rose who they met when they were regulars at a local bar & grill. They’ve all shared many drinks and jokes over the years. Rob and his Dad spend time with Rose & Bob almost every weekend and the couple is so happy to spend this special event with them as well!

Kryslyn & Rayla

Flower Girl

Rose’s nieces and bestest little buddies. They make lots of good memories whenever they are together and have a special bond. Kryslyn and Rayla are always very excited when Anny Rose comes to visit. Rose’s sister Rachel, who’s heart was filled to bursting when Kryslyn was born, picked “Anny” as a special name for Kryslyn to call her instead of Aunty. With Rachel’s passing Rose took on that special name in Rachel’s honor. Anny Rose is overjoyed her sweet girls will be part of this special day!

Jan

Mother of the Groom

A woman like no other. She gave life, nurtured, dressed, held, disciplined, kissed, but most importantly, she loves her children unconditionally. Bob is so thankful for his mother’s wisdom, advice, words of encouragement, and for all the silent prayers. He couldn’t imagine his life without her. Jan means just as much to Rose as well. She has been like a mother and best friend for Rose and the biggest part of making Pittsburgh feel like home.

There is no better role model than Bob’s dad! He is someone Rose and Bob both admire and look up to. He is a wonderful example of a loving father and husband. Bob is proud to be his son and is so lucky to have his love and guidance in his life. Thank you for helping to make Bob into the man he is today!

Erika

Mother of the Bride

She taught her daughter to be brave and courageous. Rose is the woman she is because of her mother. She has always been a safe place to turn to when life gets difficult, someone to laugh with and dream about the future with. Life didn’t come with a manual but it came with a supermom! No matter what the circumstances, no matter how far apart, she is always there for her children. She is a best friend, a confidant, and an incredible mom. She brings so much love and happiness into life. Rose and Bob are so grateful for Erika in their lives!

Rick Ball

Father of the Bride

Rose’s father who has passed away. Though he is not her biological father, he was her stepfather and the father figure in her life from the time she was a toddler through adulthood. He never treated her any differently than his own. He taught her, loved her, spoiled her, supported her, and took pride in her accomplishments. He will always be her Daddy and though he cannot be there to walk her down the aisle in physical form, his spirit will be beside her and his love will be surrounding her.

Jimmy

Bonus Father of the Bride

Rose’s stepdad, Jimmy, found a special place in her heart with his devotion to her family. They met when Rose had surgery on both feet and was staying at her mom’s to recover. While her mom was at work he helped Rose like a parent: making sure she ate, was able to use the restroom, was comfortable, had something on TV, and had her medicine. When he married her mom he said a silent prayer promising Rick he would do his best to care for the kids like Rick would want. He stuck to that promise. For these reasons and many more, Rose asked Jimmy to walk her down the aisle in honor of her father who can only be there in spirit.
