Our first encounter with each other was at Northfield Nursery School, when we were 4 years old. We then continued on to kindergarten through 5th grade together, and then life happened, and Sara moved away. We saw each other from time to time over the next 20 years, connected on Facebook in 2009, and then reconnected in person in 2012. It was a friendship that blossomed into a beautiful relationship that we both clearly deserve, but didn't fully believe existed. At the end of December, 2015, Mark proposed, after a health scare for Sara. He didn't like the fact that he wasn't really respected as her boyfriend, while dealing with things in the hospital. He also couldn't imagine going through the rest of his life without her. Sara said yes, once she understood why he was down on one knee in the slush at Rice Park in St. Paul. 8 years later, all the necessary hurdles have been overcome, and they are both finally free to marry and celebrate the beautiful Sacrament of Marriage. So here we are!
