A beautiful coastal path to walk, run or cycle, its 184km and connects 14 towns across the Málaga Coast. One of the entrances to the boardwalk is only metres from The Kempinski.

Visit Ronda

Ronda is a beautiful mountain top city in Spain that is known for its stunning landmarks and rich history. The city is divided into three distinct areas: the city, or old Arab Medina, which is the most important from the historical point of view; the neighbourhood of San Francisco, separated by city walls, and the Mercadillo neighbourhood, which is on the other side of the Guadalevín river. Top things to see in Ronda are: - Puente Nuevo: A beautiful bridge that connects El Mercadillo with La Ciudad - Bullring: Ronda is the birthplace of the famous bullfight and has a nice bullring - Moorish Palace - Arabic Baths Ronda is a 1 hour car journey from The Kempinski.

Puerto Banús is a luxury port only 15 minute drive from The Kempinski; here you will find great shopping, restaurants, bars and of course some beautiful boats. Great area to people watch!

Marbella Old Town

Marbella's Old Town, known locally as Casco Antiguo, is a fascinating contrast to the town's luxurious beach resorts. Travellers are drawn to the area's quaint cobblestone streets and its colourful and diverse history. Take a walk along the former Moorish city walls, originally built to keep out intruders, or head to Plaza de los Naranjos (Orange Square), a picturesque square lined with orange trees and home to the Town Hall. A walking tour is a great way to see the top sights in the area, including the Hermitage of Santiago.

Visit Tangier, Morocco

A day trip to Tangier from Marbella is a great way to explore the vibrant and exotic city of Tangier, Morocco. There are several options for taking a day trip from Marbella to Tangier. You can take a ferry from either Algeciras or Tarifa, both of which are located in Spain, to Tanger Med port in Morocco. The ferry ride takes approximately one hour. Once you arrive in Tangier, you can explore the city’s historic Kasbah and Medina, which are perfect for exploring in a day. Algeciras is approximately a 40 minute car ride from The Kempinski and Tarifa is 1 hour. As you will be leaving Spain, your passport will be required for entry, although visas are not necessary.

Visit Gibraltar

Gibraltar is a British Overseas Territory and city located at the southern tip of the Iberian Peninsula. Take the Gibraltar Cable Car to the Top of the Rock of Gibraltar. Explore all of the sites and activities in the Gibraltar Nature Reserve, including St Michael’s Cave and the Great Siege Tunnels. Walk down the Rock to Main Street. Visit the Gibraltar Museum Gibraltar is approximately a 55 minute car journey from The Kempinski.

La Concha Hike

Take a 4-6 hour hike up the beautiful 'La Concha' mountain which forms the backdrop to Marbella town, the hike and the summit provide the most stunning views of Gibraltar, Northern Africa and of course Spain itself. The start of the hike can be found at Refugio de Juanar which is approximately a 40 minute drive from The Kempinski.

Visit Tarifa

Tarifa is a historic Spanish town that attests to Spain's rich culture and history. With a long history and a multitude of old buildings, it is the ideal place to combine good food, white beaches and culture. Visit the Castillo de Guzman el Bueno, Castillo de Santa Catalina and the beautiful beach, Playa de Los Lances. Tarifa is a 1.5 hour drive from The Kempinski.
