Our dress code is 'Semi-formal beach'. Think beachy linen suits & floaty summer dresses. Ultimately, we want you to relax, enjoy and feel comfortable in whatever you choose to wear. Our Chuppah and some other elements of our wedding are being held on grass, so we recommend flat shoes or wedges for comfort. Our 'Welcome to Spain' event on Saturday 1st June, 2024 will be held on a flat terrace, so keep that in mind when planning your footwear!
The weather in Estepona during the month of June is (fingers crossed) beautiful. Highs of between 24-28 Degrees Celsius (75-82 Degrees Fahrenheit). In the evening the temperatures for June can drop to around 17-19 Degrees Celsius (62-66 Degrees Fahrenheit), so although very pleasant, you may want to bring a jacket or cover-up for the evening breeze.
Our plan is for the Chuppah ceremony and parts of the reception to be held outdoors. We do have backup venues if required but fingers crossed the sun will be shining.
Yes there is and it is complimentary for all wedding guests staying at The Kempinski Bahia hotel.
Expect to tip around 10% however for exceptional service we recommend closer to 15-20% gratuity. Unlike restaurants, it is not necessary to tip taxi drivers in Spain. There's no expectation to do so, though it is always well received. Tipping is entirely at your discretion.
Absolutely! Please check out the 'Places To Eat & Things To Do' section of this website.
We will be hosting welcome drinks and nibbles on Saturday 1st June, 2024 on the Alminar Terrace at The Kempinski hotel. This will be taking place 7.30pm-9.30pm and all wedding guests are invited to this event.
We are so thankful you will be joining us for this celebration of our love. While gifts are not expected, we have registered for a few items we need for our newlywed home. These can be found in the 'Registry' section of this website.
Yes! Our wedding hastag is #theKingandRy - feel free to use this when posting any pictures or videos from our special day on social media, so we get to see them! We will also be using the WedShoots app to collate all of our guest's memories into an album.
That is completely up to you. There are many lovely day trips and restaurants which are more than a 30 minute drive from The Kempinski, so a car would be useful and the hotel is providing complimentary parking for wedding guests who are staying at the hotel. However, there are also local restaurants and shops around The Kempinski which you can walk to or get an uber/taxi to in under 10 minutes.
