Question

What do you mean by “casual” dress code?

Answer

We want you to be comfortable. Please feel free to dress up or keep it simple. Casual dresses, khakis, slacks, button-up or polo shirts are absolutely fine. Suits/blazers/formal dresses are not required, but feel free to wear one if you like! The wedding party will be dressed formally.

Question

What airport should I fly into?

Answer

There is a local airport - Jackson Hole (JAC) If you are interested in a road trip, other airports can be an option. Idaho Falls, ID is about an hour and a half drive, Salt Lake City, UT and Bozeman, MT are each about 4.5 hours drive. Boise, ID is about 5.5 hours.

Question

Any other tips for visiting Jackson?

Answer

Tons, so if you have particular questions or need ideas for planning, please let us know! We are at approximately 6200 feet of elevation in the valley. If you are joining us from lower elevation and are not acclimated, here are some things to consider: 1. This is a dry climate with less oxygen. It can be very dehydrating, and this can cause visitors from lower elevations to feel a bit off for the first day or two. Make a point to drink lots of water and other hydrating beverages - this will help! 2. The UV rays are intense here. You may want to use more/stronger sunscreen than you typically do at home. 3. Alcohol will have an intensified effect. Some say that one drink at this elevation can feel like 2 or 3 would at sea level, so plan accordingly and don’t forget to continue to hydrate!
