San Diego Zoo

Usually not very crowded, a nice place to sit, relax, and watch the boats.  Dog friendly!

Shelter Island

So many attractions and museums.  Our favorites: the Natural History and Automotive museums.  You cannot see everything in one day.

Balboa Park

About 30 minutes from the venue, but worth the drive because of the wildlife you will see.  And there are animals, too! LOL Bring your patience, as parking can be scarce.
