We met 10+ years ago and have always been good friends. In June 2018 we had our first kiss after winning a few games of beer pong - we haven’t looked back since and have never been happier! We moved in together in January 2020, right before the pandemic hit. Being stuck inside a tiny apartment, we grew even closer and fell more in love! In December 2020, Mark took the leap and proposed! He asked Kelly's dad, telling him he loved her very much, when we were visiting them in LA for Christmas. We rode our bikes at the beach from Santa Monica to Venice, through the canals, back to Santa Monica Pier, and back to our car parked in a lot near Ocean Park Blvd. We picked up coffee and went back to the beach, which happened to be the same beach Kelly grew up going to with her mom and sister. Mark suggested a beach walk - we enjoyed the gorgeous view. On our way back to the car, he got down on one knee and proposed!!! Mark was super nervous and Kelly cried tears of excitement. We went back to Kelly’s parents' house and got to celebrate with them (picture below was right after at Kelly's childhood home). It was a wonderful day and we rang in 2021 Engaged!
