The Cottage at Mirror Lake Inn
Located a ~12 minute walk from the Golden Arrow, the Cottage is one of our favorite places to grab a drink! We recommend sitting outside on their deck if the weather is nice.
Cloudsplitter Rooftop Bar
Cloudsplitter Rooftop Bar is Lake Placid’s only rooftop bar, offering breathtaking views of Mirror Lake, Whiteface Mountain, and Olympic venues. Located at 2520 Main Street, Lake Placid, NY, it’s part of the Grand Adirondack Hotel.
Generations Tap & Grill
Attached to the Golden Arrow Lakeside Resort, Generations Tap & Grill is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We LOVE Generations- their breakfast is particularly great but you can't go wrong for any meal.
Firepits at Golden Arrow Resort
If you're staying onsite we highly recommend you sit by the firepits at night to enjoy a drink with a view of the lake. This is one of our favorite ways to end a day on Mirror Lake!
The Coffee Bar
The Coffee Bar in the Alpine Mall is a hidden gem. They offer specialty coffee drinks and are just a short walk from the Golden Arrow. We highly suggest you stay and enjoy your coffee on their balcony with a view of Mirror Lake and Whiteface Mountain.
Mount Van Hoevenberg Summit
Explore where the 1980 Olympic Bobsled run was! There is hiking, biking, a cliff coaster, bobsled ride and more!
Lake Placid Olympic Ski Jumping Complex
At the nearby Olympic Ski Jumping Complex you can take an eight-passenger gondola up to the base of the ski jumping towers, followed by a scenic elevator ride with stunning views of the Adirondack High Peaks. There you can learn about ski jumping at the 1980 Olympics! Consider taking the Sky Flyer Zipline down to experience the rush of ski jumping by soaring down a zipline at speeds of up to 30 mph!
Emma's Lake Placid Creamery
Right in the middle of Main Street, Emma’s Lake Placid Creamery is packed with ice cream options, from soft serve to traditional hard ice cream, and has specialty items like milkshakes, sundaes, ice cream sandwiches, and more! A favorite is the maple soft serve.
