Question

Where should I stay?

Answer

We have a room block at the Golden Arrow Lakeside Resort located on Mirror Lake. This is where we're having the wedding ceremony as well as the reception! It is also a short 4-minute walk from the restaurant where we're hosting welcome drinks on Friday night. We highly recommend staying here! The room block is from Thursday June 4th - Sunday June 7th and requires a 2-night minimum stay. Depending on the room type and the days you're looking to stay, room rates range between $99 - $169 per night. To book your room, please call 800.582.5540 and mention the O’Connor & Smith June 2026 Wedding to get the preferred rate! Please be sure to reserve your rooms by April 7th, 2026.

Question

Are children invited to the wedding?

Answer

Although we love your little ones, this will be an adults-only weekend. We appreciate your understanding!

Question

What airport can I fly into?

Answer

Lake Placid is about 2 hours driving north from Albany, NY, which is one airport option. Burlington, VT is another airport option and offers the opportunity to take a ferry across Lake Champlain and enjoy views of the mountains. Saranac Lake is a small airport about 35 minutes away with service in small planes by Cape Air from Boston and NYC.

Question

What time does the ceremony begin?

Answer

The ceremony begins promptly at 4:00pm! However, you're welcome to grab at the Boathouse starting at 3:30pm to enjoy during the reception.

Question

What should I pack?

Answer

The dress code for the wedding is formal attire and the dress code for the welcome drinks is cocktail attire. If you're able to join us for the hike, be sure to pack athletic clothing and sneakers or hiking boots. The hotel is right on Mirror Lake, so we also recommend bringing a bathing suit!
