Question

How did you two meet?

Answer

We went to UCLA together, we work at the same company, but no. We met rock climbing at Hangar 18. She fell off the wall right into Mark's hands, their eyes met, and from then on it was a romance like no other.

What am I invited to? The ceremony, cocktail hour, reception, afterparty, brunch?

Answer

Yes! All of the above!

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Semi-Formal: Tuxes and gowns are welcome, and so are suits and cocktail dresses.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please plan to arrive 10-15 minutes before 4pm, when the ceremony is scheduled to begin.

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

We are not providing any transportation to/from the venue. There is plenty of free parking available or you can use Uber/Lyft/taxis.

Question

What's the parking situation at the venue?

Answer

There are two paved parking lots that can fit ~60 cars between them. However, our venue is open to the public prior to our ceremony and reception, so we cannot guarantee that there will be spots available in these lots. A larger dirt lot close by offers additional parking. PLEASE VISIT OUR PHOTOS TAB TO SEE A DIAGRAM OF PARKING AT THE VENUE.

Where do I go once I arrive?

Answer

Please visit our Photos tab to see a map of the Point Vicente Interpretive Center, including ceremony and reception locations.

I noticed there's a lighthouse nearby. Will we be able to go up in the lighthouse during or before the wedding?

Answer

Unfortunately, no. The lighthouse and its grounds are only open to the public the 2nd Saturday of every month from 10AM to 3pm, except in March, when it is open the first Saturday from 10Am to 4pm. Our wedding is on the 3rd Saturday of February, so the lighthouse is not scheduled to be open.

Can I bring a guest/kids?

Answer

We tried to include everyone we know in the online RSVP. Due to space constraints at the venue, we had to limit our guest list and need to keep an accurate guest count. If you would like to bring someone we did not include in your RSVP, please reach out to us, and we will see what can be done.

Can I take pictures?

Answer

Please do! And share them with us using The Guest app by The Knot and our wedding ID: Maddubs2019 or post them with our hashtag #MADdubs2019. MADdubs = Mark Alphonso Dani "dubs" (=W)

What kind of food will be at the wedding?

Answer

Thai food! We will have vegetarian, spicy and non spicy dishes. It will be buffet style so don't worry about choosing your meal!

What if I have a food allergy?

Answer

We plan to order various dishes that are vegetarian, glute-free, soy-free, and nut-free and will have each dish labeled appropriately. Please also contact us via text or email and let us know what kind of allergy you have to ensure we accommodate it.

What if I can't make it after all?

Answer

We are sorry to hear that, but of course we understand. Please update your RSVP on the website as soon as you can, and if possible, text or email us to let us know.

Are you two going on a honeymoon?

Answer

Yes! But not right after the wedding. We'll be going to Samoa and American Samoa later this year in September of 2019. On the way there, we'll get to experience Fiji too! We're going there as part of our quest to visit all 60 National Parks, and American Samoa is the southernmost US National Park!
