In 2017 Dani and I got engaged! We had both agreed ahead of time that we would each ask the other in order to be "fully" engaged. I asked Dani on Labor Day at the annual Waters family camping trip in beautiful Usal, California. I played the same song my dad played for my mom when he got engaged, and she said "of course"! Then, Dani surprised me at my friends' annual White Elephant party on Dec 17th. Many of my best friends had been in on this plan since August! During the gift exchange, she picked out a very special gift, a wireless phone charger! But also... a ring! She got down on one knee and popped the question. I said yes! And voila, we were fully engaged. I love this woman, and I am so lucky to be spending the rest of my life with her.
