Staying in SF

Pros: It's SF! Stay here if you want easy access to all of the amazing sites that San Francisco has to offer. Closest option for Friday night welcome dinner. Cons: Furthest from wedding venue. Expensive. Areas with more accommodations and are more centrally located (aka downtown) are a bit...rugged.

Staying in Berkeley/Oakland

Pros: Berkeley or Oakland are both super cool cities, with a lot of unique offerings on their own. Equidistant between Friday welcome dinner and wedding venue, with lots of transportation options to both. Probably better for parking if you rent a car. Cons: Not especially close to either venue. Prices will be fairly comparable to SF.

Pros: The closest you can get to wedding venue! More affordable options. Easy access to everywhere via BART. Cons: Fewer accommodation options. Further from SF. Further from Friday night welcome dinner. Further from airports.

We don't want our wedding to bankrupt you, so we can try to find a spot on a couch at either ours or a friends' place. PLEASE don't feel weird about asking ("oh they're too busy planning" etc.)...we know the Bay is expensive and want to help!
