No! There is enough public transit/rideshare options that a car is not necessary. But if you prefer to rent a car (and have a DD!), consider Getaround and Turo for hourly rentals. These are both car-sharing apps and are more affordable than traditional car rental agencies. Pick-up and drop-off is super easy, and you can rent only for the time you need! If you go this route, use our signup code for $20 off: https://www.getaround.com/invite/10213063444475572.
If you're staying in SF, it's probably easiest to take Uber/Lyft (around $50) or drive. However, if you have the time, you can also taking the 2:05pm Ferry to Richmond, as this provides gorgeous views of the Bay along the way (https://sanfranciscobayferry.com/richmond-ferry-route). From there, it's a 15 minute Uber/Lyft to Rigger's Loft. While the ferry does get you to Richmond on the earlier side (2:45pm), the Richmond Ferry Terminal has a few things to see, including several coffee shops and a museum dedicated to Rosie the Riveter (https://www.nps.gov/rori/index.htm).
If you're staying in the East Bay, we'd recommend Uber/Lyft or driving.
For folks that stay until the very end, we'll have a 56-person bus with a drop-off in Berkeley and SF. For folks that leave earlier than 11pm, the options are Uber/Lyft or driving.
Again--Uber or Lyft will be the easiest way.You can also use the KT, M, or N-Line trains on SFMTA. WE DO NOT RECOMMEND DRIVING TO SPARK SOCIAL, because parking is challenging here due to other events typically occurring in the area. If you do drive, try to to book parking in advance.
You have your choice of SFO or Oakland!
Of course we happened to choose a date that would coincide with our favorite friend's 5th wave. The show will still go on, but we understand if you have to reevaluate your attendance.
