Trastevere is considered the 'heart' of Rome and is where our wedding festivities will take place, so we recommend staying here! Mostly laid out in the medieval era, Trastevere's cobblestone streets are the perfect place for aimless wandering and getting lost among beautiful buildings and piazzas, especially in the area between Via Garibaldi and Viale di Trastevere. The city center is located a short stroll across the river Tiber and offers Rome's most famous sights during the daytime, but we recommend Trastevere at night.
