Flight

Leon International Airport (BJX)

This is the most commonly used airport for travelers visiting San Miguel de Allende. The airport is about 1 hour to an hour and 15 mins away. There are direct flights arriving here from the following cities: Chicago (Volaris) Los Angeles (Delta/United) Oakland (Volaris) Dallas (American) Atlanta (AeroMexico/Delta) Mexico City (AeroMexico/Delta) Houston (United) From there you will need to book a shuttle directly to your hotel or house rental in San Miguel. It will be around 1 hour to an hour and 15 mins from the Leon Airport. If your hotel or rental home does not provide a shuttle, let us know and we can help you book one.

Flight

Querétaro International Airport (QRO)

A closer but less commonly used airport is Querétaro. It is closest to San Miguel but has the fewer flight options from the U.S. There are direct flights arriving here from the following cities. Dallas (American) Houston (United) Atlanta (AeroMexico/Delta) Mexico City (AeroMexico/Delta) Similarly to those flying into Leon, you will need to book a shuttle directly to your hotel or house rental in San Miguel. It will be around 50mins. If your hotel or rental home does not provide a shuttle, let us know and we can help you book one.

Flight

Mexico City International Airport (MEX)

Mexico City is major airport with flights connecting from various cities throughout the U.S. and Mexico. It's around a 3.5 hour drive to San Miguel de Allende. The buses from Mexico City (Mexico Norte station) are very nice, and are an affordable way to get to San Miguel (approx. $19 USD). Alternatively there are many private cars or shuttles. We also have various parties traveling from Mexico City to San Miguel that have expressed interest in private transportation.
