Nick and Marissa first met at Siena College in the fall of 2014. Prior to arriving at school, they did not know each other, and were introduced through mutual friends. After school (and many weekends of Marissa visiting Nick at school while he completed his Masters), they both moved down to NYC to begin post-college life. On April 17th, 2021, Marissa thought she was headed to a birthday brunch with her friends when Nick ‘happened to notice’ he was around the corner from his first NYC apartment. He brought Marissa around the block to reminisce about their time spent there. It was where Nick first said, ‘I love you’ 7 years prior and where he got down on one knee and asked, ‘Will you marry me?’. A quick yelp, cry, and a nod later, Marissa was finally about to get out the words “I do!”
