San Clemente Beach
Our wedding location is famous for its "Spanish Village by the Sea" charm and world-class surf. Take a stroll down Avenida Del Mar, the town's main street filled with unique boutiques and cafes, which leads directly down to the historic San Clemente Pier and the beach. If you're looking for some shopping, the Outlets at San Clemente offer great deals with a stunning ocean view. This town is extra special to us because it's where Marissa went to high school, and we can’t wait for you to see why she loves it here so much!
Mission San Juan Capistrano
Founded in 1776, this historic landmark is one of California's most beautiful and iconic sites. Known for its stunning gardens, arched walkways, and the ruins of the Great Stone Church, the Mission offers a peaceful look into the state’s early history. It is world-famous for the Return of the Swallows each spring and remains a centerpiece of the region's heritage. Located just 6 miles (approx. 10 mins) north of our venue in San Clemente, it’s an easy and essential stop for anyone staying nearby.
Irvine Spectrum Shopping Center
For a more relaxed afternoon, the Irvine Spectrum is one of Orange County’s premier outdoor destinations for shopping, dining, and entertainment. Whether you want to grab a bite at Din Tai Fung, catch a movie, ride the iconic Giant Wheel, or visit the Hello Kitty Cafe! Located just 22 miles north of our wedding venue, it’s a quick 25-minute drive from San Clemente and a great halfway point if you’re looking to explore the area.
Disneyland Resort
The place that started it all! We never would've met if this place never existed. Most of you are probably coming here at some point during the wedding. It is about a 30-45 minute drive away from the venue.
Temecula Wine Country
For a change of scenery, take a short drive inland to Temecula Valley, Southern California’s premier wine destination. You can enjoy tastings at world-class estates like Wilson Creek Winery (famous for its almond sparkling wine), the Italian-inspired Robert Renzoni Vineyards, or the modern and chic Akash Winery. Whether you’re exploring the underground caves at Oak Mountain or taking a hot air balloon ride over the vines, it’s a beautiful escape. Located about 50 miles (approx. 1 hour) east of San Clemente, it’s a perfect day trip for guests looking to explore beyond the coast.
San Diego
For a mix of history and local flavor, San Diego is an easy trip just south of our venue. You can wander the historic streets of Old Town to see the birthplace of California, or spend the afternoon at La Jolla Cove watching the sea lions along the cliffs. If you’re looking for a local favorite, make a stop at The Lumpia Factory for authentic Filipino comfort food—a true staple of the area's food scene. It’s 55 miles (approx. 1 hour) south of San Clemente Shore, making it a perfect option for a day trip or for guests looking to stay an extra night or two in the city.
Hollywood
Explore the iconic landmarks of the L.A. film industry, from the Walk of Fame and TCL Chinese Theatre to the panoramic views of the Hollywood Sign at Griffith Observatory. Located just 15 miles (approx. 40 mins) from LAX, this is an ideal first stop upon your arrival. Please note that Hollywood is roughly 70 miles (1.5–2+ hours) north of our wedding venue in San Clemente, so we recommend visiting before you head south to the beach.
Santa Monica Pier
Experience the quintessential California coast at the Santa Monica Pier, home to the solar-powered Ferris wheel at Pacific Park and the "End of the Trail" sign for Route 66. Whether you’re shopping on the Third Street Promenade or enjoying the ocean views from Palisades Park. It’s a perfect first stop after landing since it’s only 10 miles (approx. 20–35 mins) from LAX. Just keep in mind it is about 75 miles north of our venue in San Clemente, so it is best enjoyed on your way into town before heading south!
Universal Studios Hollywood
Experience the magic of filmmaking at the world’s only working movie studio and theme park. You can explore The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, enter the vibrant Super Nintendo World, or take the legendary Studio Tour to see famous backlots and movie sets. Universal is located about 25 miles (approx. 45 mins) from LAX, but please keep in mind it is roughly 75 miles (1.5–2+ hours) north of our venue in San Clemente. We recommend visiting while you are in the Los Angeles area before heading south to the beach!
