Midsummer Picnic at the Lake

Casual Attire: Anything goes, from sundresses and sandals to jeans and tees. Don't forget your bathing suit!

We're getting married at the courthouse. We'd like to celebrate with you the Saturday after at Millersylvania State Park. We've booked Picnic Shelter #2 from 9am-8pm. Spend all day at the park, or just stop by for part of the day. We'll plan lunch-time activities and will bring a cooler stocked with basic picnic items (condiments, hot dogs, smart dogs, buns, salads). Bring your favorite picnic items and beverages if you like. We'll set up our camp stove and fire up the grilling pits. The park also has a beer garden, snack bar, and boat rentals about 20 feet away from our shelter. We'll bring our inflatable paddle boards and floats. There are two swim beaches and a boat launch. The picnic shelter's capacity is limited to 50 people, but the park itself is large with trails and room to roam. PARK RULES Carpool.
