Grand Canyon Visitor Center
A must see if you've never been!
Flagstaff Visitor Center
The Flagstaff Visitor Center offers guided and self-guided tours about Route 66, downtown hauntings, public art, and The Travelers' Green Book. There's also lots of fun downtown shopping in this area. Some of our favorites are Bright Side Bookshop (from our engagement photos!) and Peace Outfitters.
Riordan Mansion State Historic Park
An interesting tour where you can learn more about Flagstaff's history. The Riordans built their home in the American Arts and Crafts-style architecture in 1904.
Wupatki National Monument
Paired with Sunset Crater, this is a great half-day excursion of hiking and learning about the local geology and historical indigenous community sites.
Flagstaff Extreme Adventure Course
Marissa had a blast doing the zipline course for one of her recent birthdays. Unfortunately, we found out Caleb does not like heights.
Lowell Observatory
Pluto was discovered in Flagstaff! We recommend going on a clear night to get a chance to look through the telescopes.
Good Game Cafe
A great place with a fantastic library of games to play! Caleb is a member and highly recommends checking them out.
Snowbowl Scenic Gondola
Great views of Northern Arizona
Lava River Cave
A fairly easy hike (mostly flat but with difficult and uneven terrain) into a very cool, pitch-black lava tube. Bring sturdy shoes, several working flashlights, and a jacket as temperatures are much cooler in the cave, even in the summer.
Lake Mary
Great kayaking/paddleboarding, hiking, and picnicking location. There are businesses nearby where you can rent canoes/kayaks/paddleboards.
Fatman's Loop Trail
One of Caleb's favorite trails, a moderate hike, scale the side of Mount Elden for some great views of Flagstaff.
Sinclair Wash
One of Marissa's favorite trails, an easy hike along the Rio de Flag.
Kickstand Kafe
A great place for coffee as well as non-caffeinated beverages.
Brandy's Cafe
One of Caleb and Marissa's favorite breakfast spots. Marissa loves the California eggs benedict and Caleb recommends the oat pancakes.
Delhi Palace Cuisine of India
Caleb and Marissa's go to dinner spot. They recommend the veggie korma, bombay aloo, with garlic naan and veggie pakoras.
Diablo Burger
Very tasty burgers made with local beef (as well as a good veggie burger option) and delicious rosemary fries.
Fat Olives
Great Italian-American food and pizza.
Tacos Los Altos
One of Caleb and Marissa's favorite Mexican restaurants.
Historic Brewing Barrel House - Flagstaff
Caleb's favorite brewing company.
Dark Sky Brewing Co.
Unique beer, excellent patios, and a partnership with Pizzicletta to serve great pizza in-house.
Flagstaff Community Farmers Market
If you're in town on Sunday morning, Caleb and Marissa recommend checking out the Farmer's Market for breakfast, fresh produce, and other goodies.
