Fort Taylor Court
This is one of our top recommended beaches. It is an easy walk from the Truman Annex and has snorkeling gear that can be rented out for the day. There is a park and fort to explore along the way.
Southernmost Point of the US
Southernmost point is a top tourist attraction, so we recommend getting an early start. While you're out there, this can be a top spot to view the sunrise. Right up the street is the Southernmost Point Hotel and the beach that also provides another great view of the sunrise.
Mallory Square
The best place to watch the sunset along with street performers for a great show.
Sloppy Joe's Bar
If you don't stop in here for Sloppy Fries and a Sloppy Joe - you're doing it all wrong!
General Horseplay
This is a bar where the locals go to get away from the busy Duval hype. They have happy hour starting at 3 PM where you can roll the dice for a chance at discounted drinks. The cocktails are one of a kind, and with it being a local spot, it is a very quiet place to get away for a nice drink. There are games and a fun backdoor patio.
Flamingo Crossing
One of the best local ice cream spots in town. It is all homemade, and right near a cigar bar and wine shop. It is a place I treasure and where my dad would take us for treats as kids.
