Question

How do I RSVP?

Answer

You can search for your RSVP on the website here! https://www.zola.com/wedding/marissa-jared-2025/rsvp

Question

When is the cut off for RSVPs?

Answer

To provide our amazing caterers and venue with an accurate guest count, RSVPs are due no later than April 29, 2025. We ask that you RSVP online and not to the couple directly. All invitations not accounted for in final RSVP counts will be assumed as not attending. If you plan to attend and have not RSVP'd by the date written in your invitation and listed on this website, we cannot guarantee you or your party a seat or food in respect for those who did.

Question

Can I bring my kids?

Answer

Due to our venue's capacity restrictions, we are prioritizing the attendance of our closest family and friends. The only children in attendance will be those of direct family members. Your RSVP cards will indicate how many seats we have saved for those in your household. While we love your kiddos and spending time with your family unit, we hope you will take this opportunity as a date night out and let loose!

Question

Can I bring a plus 1?

Answer

Your invitation will include an RSVP card that lists the number of seats saved for you or your household. Please refer to this card before RSVPing online.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Our wedding dress code is colorful cocktail attire. Cocktail attire encompasses suits with or without ties and jumpsuits or cocktail dresses in any appropriate length. We hope to see all of our guests in their most colorful and fun styles! All colors are welcome, but we do ask that you avoid white, creams, and ivories out of respect for the bride.

Question

Where should I stay?

Answer

We have reserved a block of rooms at the Renaissance Des Moines Savery Hotel downtown. The rooms are first come first serve and must be reserved by April 29, 2025. There are rooms blocked off for Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights.

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

We welcome everyone to arrive at 5:00pm for the welcome happy hour with light snacks and complimentary champagne. We hope to see everyone in their seats by 5:55 for the ceremony which begins at 6:00pm sharp. If you arrive after 6:00 pm, we ask that you make yourself comfortable inside the Rollins Mansion as to not disturb the ceremony.

Question

Where can we park?

Answer

There is are two parking lots for guests upon arrival and there will be signage to direct those driving. There is a small lot at Rollins Mansion and overflow lots next door at the Italian American Cultural Center of Iowa.

Question

Is there travel between the ceremony and reception location?

Answer

The ceremony and reception will be held at the same venue and flow right into each other! If you are planning on enjoying drinks throughout the night, we suggest using Uber or Lyft to travel from the venue to a hotel or home.

Question

Where should I sit?

Answer

The bride and groom will have seats reserved for family and all other seats are open to all!

Question

What if I have accessibility needs?

Answer

The seating for the ceremony is down a flight of stairs, and we are providing seating on the outdoor balcony for those who have accessibility needs. Please reach out to the venue for more information and accommodation.

Question

What if I have a dietary restriction?

Answer

We want to accommodate everyone as best as we can, and have planned our menu to include a variety of vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options. As we are having an evening wedding, we will not be serving a full sit down dinner. Instead we will be offering a range of charcuterie, hors d'oeuvres, desserts, and late night snacks throughout the evening in order to offer the most variety and accommodate common dietary restrictions. If you would like to grab an early dinner before the wedding ceremony at 6:00 pm, see our Things To Do section on the website for our favorite restaurants in the area!

Question

Will you be serving alcohol?

Answer

Yes! The bride and groom will be hosting two kegs of draft beer, as well as wine, seltzers, soda, and water for the evening, or until their bar tab limit has been reached. All other options will be available for purchase.

Question

Can I take photos?

Answer

We encourage people to document the evening how they see fit. We do ask that phones be put away and on silent during the ceremony, as we have an amazing photography team booked to capture the day.

Question

Where are you registered?

Answer

You can find our registry on the website!
