Wedding Weekend Transportation FAQs

On this page, we are providing key details regarding transportation for our wedding weekend events. Please read carefully as there are specific transportation guidelines we need guests to please follow, especially for the wedding day. Thank you!
Question

Transportation for Cisco Brewery Event on Thursday, September 29

Answer

Transportation is not provided to the Cisco Brewery event, but there is parking on-site and Ubers or taxis available.

Question

Transportation for the Nature Walk on Friday, September 30

Answer

Transportation is not provided for the Nature Walk. The address for the entry to the hike is 117 Polpis Road; look for a red sign. There will be parking available or you can take an Uber or taxi. If you have any issues, please call Shane Hoffman (who is leading the hike) 646-265-1556.

Question

Transportation TO the Wedding Ceremony & Reception on Saturday, October 1

Answer

Transportation will be provided for the Wedding Ceremony & Reception at 30 Shawkemo Road. Please meet the Cranberry Transportation buses at The Whaling Museum (13 Broad St.) at 3:15PM, unless you are staying at the Nantucket Inn (a separate Cranberry Transportation shuttle will pickup at the Nantucket Inn at 3:15PM). Due to the long and narrow driveway at our wedding venue, the buses will drop everyone at the foot of the driveway, and then you will wait for a van to take small groups to the venue one at a time. Please be patient and enjoy the beautiful surroundings as you wait for the vans :) ! It is extremely important that you utilize the transportation provided, as there will not be parking or Ubers/taxis allowed on the wedding day.

Question

Transportation FROM the Wedding Reception on Saturday, October 1

Answer

Buses will be provided from the reception to Lemon Press for the Afterparty (41 Main St. - centrally located in town) and to the Nantucket Inn. Ubers are available from Lemon Press as-needed, and the Main Street Taxi Stand (corner of Main Street and South Water Street) is located just down the road from Lemon Press.

Question

Transportation for the Brunch on Sunday, October 1

Answer

Transportation will not be provided to/from the brunch at 30 Shawkemo Road (please ignore the note about brunch transportation on the printed itinerary in the gift bags). There is parking available on-site, or Ubers/taxis are also available.

Question

Is it easy to get Ubers on Nantucket?

Answer

Ubers are available on Nantucket but we STRONGLY recommend scheduling ahead as there are limited Ubers in the off-season, as well as multiple weddings on the island this weekend.

Question

Are there taxis available on Nantucket?

Answer

There are several taxi services on Nantucket that you can call and arrange ahead of time (they are not super reliable for last minute calls). There is also a taxi stand on Main Street and South Water Street in the center of town. Here are a few taxi company recommendations: AAA Taxi – (508) 901-1825 All Point Taxi – (508) 228-5779 Roger’s Taxi – (508) 818-8294 Pirate’s Taxi- 774-768-3839 Tuck Tuck Taxi: 508-332-0808 MTC Taxi 508-560-7269 Kingfish Cab 508-335-7763 KCK Taxi 508-901-1686 Carl’s Cab - 508-825-3034
