Jono and Marisa met the old fashion way... on the dating app Hinge. Our first date was the night before Marisa's 31st birthday, and included hours of talking, wandering the West Village, and ending the evening with late-night foot massages sitting across from James Franco (he did not make the invite list). From there we spent months getting to know each other in Jono's neighborhood of Bushwick and Marisa's of the West Village - that is until of course the Pandemic hit. Given the distance between our apartments and the lockdown in NYC, Jono bravely ventured up north to Canandaigua Lake to quarantine with Marisa at her parent's lake house. Weekends were spent in Rochester with Marisa's family and over Zoom to Australia with Jono's family. This time spent together was unforgettable and formative for us. We moved back to the city into our current East Village apartment in June 2020, and have enjoyed getting to know one another's family and friends over both Zoom and real-life as we grew closer over the pandemic. Two years and one pandemic later, we made it official getting engaged on the Westside Highway Park on the Hudson River, a special spot for us since our very first date. The location of our wedding is extremely special to us. Nantucket is where Marisa and her family have spent every summer at my Aunt Ann's home, and has been a frequent destination for fun and relaxation for Jono & Marisa over the past two years. We cannot wait to celebrate and share this beloved place with all of our loved ones in October 2022!
