We're getting married!

True love and basketball. They met while both living in Washington D.C. Marisa was randomly placed on Sanjay's co-ed intramural basketball team. After a winning season and many months of being teammates, Sanjay finally asked her on a date and the rest is history.

Many are quite confused when meeting this couple so, they thought they would set the record straight. Sanjay is from Fayetteville, Arkansas. He went to college at the University of Arkansas, then moved around in the Navy. He lived in Newport, RI, Port Hueneme, CA, Corpus Cristi, TX and Washington DC. Marisa was born and raised in Woodbury, Minnesota, then moved to Indiana to attend college at the University of Notre Dame. After college, she moved to Washington DC where the two met. They both moved to Chicago for Marisa's graduate school. After two years, they made the dive down south and now call Dallas, TX home. Whew, glad we got all of that straightened out.

A simple wedding website description could never capture this day. The months of planning by Sanjay. The almost 50 people involved in the details, the surprise, and the party. The planes trains and cars that brought everyone there. The powerpoint slides (if you know you know). The perfectly executed plan. The inexplainable shock on Marisa's face. The 5 page love letter. The 20 minute video of friends and family's love. The photos and videos captured. The MANY tears (mostly from Marisa). Simply put, it was the most thoughtful, detailed, overwhelming, and incredible day of their lives. If the proposal is any indication, the wedding will be one for the books.
