Like many modern love stories, ours began with a dating app — but, what started with a few messages quickly turned into something unforgettable. Our first date was at Westport Social on November 16, 2020, where we instantly clicked over effortless conversation, laughter, and a healthy amount of competition. To be fair, the journey almost took a turn early on when Jared, with six months experience as an Australian local, decided to caption his dating profile with simply the American and Australian flags. So naturally, Marisa thought she was meeting someone from halfway across the world with an accent and a passport. Instead, she got a guy from O'Fallon, Missouri. Catfished? Slightly. Worth it? Absolutely. Since then, our life together has been filled with shared adventures, a little chaos, and the type of love that feels meant to be. We love golfing together, spending weekends hanging around Cottleville, and being homebodies with our two beloved cats: Basil, our fluffy grey boy with major main-character energy, and Saffron, our big baby orange kitty who always has something to say. On December 12, 2024, Jared proposed at Piazza Messina in Cottleville with string lights, photos from throughout our relationship, and 𝘍𝘰𝘳𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳 by Noah Kahan playing in the background. It was the most perfect moment, and obviously she said "YES". Now, we can't wait to celebrate our wedding day with the people who mean the most to us. Thank you for being part of our story.
