Wedding Party

Marisa Rogers

Bride

Dillon Smith

Groom

Wendy Rogers

Mother of the Bride

This one is probably the hardest for me to write, because how do you sum up everything about the one person who’s literally been with me my whole life? Mom, I simply love you more than you’ll ever know. You’ve always been the mom anyone could ask for. You raised me to know right from wrong, pushed me through school, and somehow survived watching me make dumb choices along the way. But you were never just my mom — you’ve also been my best friend. You’ve pulled me through my lowest moments, celebrated my best ones, and taught me how to be strong, adventurous, and stubborn in the best ways. Now here you are — not just my mom, but also a Mimi, and about to step into your new role as a mother-in-law. Do you feel old yet? 😅 Because you don’t act like it! Some of my favorite memories with you are the silly ones. Like that time in Washington, D.C. when I was up late eating goldfish and you got so annoyed you turned off the nightstand lamp — only your side went out, and we laughed until we couldn’t breathe. Or the time in California, waiting in the hotel hallway for pizza… and that’s all I’ll say before you take me out of this world for telling too much. Mom, thank you for being everything I could ever need — my role model, my cheerleader, my reality check, and my best friend. I love you.

Robert Rogers

Father of the Bride

This is to the man who’s loved me since day one — my daddy. You were the one I ran to when you’d get off of work, and I can still see myself barreling toward that white GMC truck at our old house in Charlotte. I remember all the songs you sang to me, all the laughs we’ve shared, and how those little moments stick with me to this day. Watching you become Brantley’s Grandpa has been one of the biggest blessings I’ve ever had. It’s also taught me how stubborn I can be — yeah, parenting is the hardest job there is, and you were right about that. We aren’t even at the teenage years yet and I already see how true it is. I’ll always be a daddy’s girl. Do you remember when you won me that pink teddy bear at the fair? I still have him — when I hold that little guy, I think of you. Do you remember taking me ice skating at Eastland Mall for the first time? Or taking me on my first big roller coaster, The Cyclone? Those memories are everything. This is going to be our first time walking down an aisle together. Don’t let me fall — not that you ever have before. Thank you for being the first man to show me what love is, and for still showing me every single day. I love you.

Brantley Rogers

Ring Bearer

My sweet baby boy, Brantley, you saved me and changed my whole life for the better. I honestly don’t know where I’d be without you. You are my whole entire world. Not a day goes by that I don’t fall in love with you more and more. The moment I looked down at that test and saw those two lines, I knew life would never be the same. From that day forward, you changed everything. We’ve already been through so much in our lives, but you’re the reason I keep going. Everything I do, I do it for you. You are the sweetest little boy and the most handsome. Sure, you might be mommy and daddy’s little monster sometimes, but we wouldn’t change a single thing. Your sweet little voice makes mommy’s heart want to explode—the random “I love yous,” the unexpected hugs and kisses—every little thing reminds me of my tiny baby I once held in a hospital bed, wondering how I was ever going to take care of you. When I had you, I can assure you no instruction manual came with you 😅, but they say motherly instincts kick in—and it’s the truth. I promise to always love and protect you in every way possible. I can’t wait to watch you walk down the aisle to mommy and daddy and bring us our wedding bands. Baby, please don’t grow up too fast. I love you more than you’ll ever know!!

Caitlyn Maher

Maid of Honor

Caitlyn Maher is one of the most wonderful people I know. She’s funny, free-spirited, and has been in my life since elementary school. Life and school may have taken us in different directions, but in 2021 fate brought us closer than ever—we found ourselves pregnant with our little boys, just a week apart. Our sons were born just days apart too, and from that moment on, we’ve been inseparable, raising best friends side by side. Caitlyn has an incredible husband who I truly adore. He’s not only the perfect partner for her but also the most amazing daddy to their sweet boy, Bryce. Together, they make such a beautiful family. When I thought about who I wanted by my side as my maid of honor, there was no question in my mind—it had to be Caitlyn. She’s been such a constant in my life, and I couldn’t imagine my special day without her standing with me. Caitlyn, thank you for everything you’ve done for me, and thank you for being by my side today and always.

Hannah Timblin

Matron of Honor

Hannah is my Matron of Honor, and I truly couldn’t have asked for a more perfect married woman to stand by my side on this special day. Not only is she a wonderful friend, but she’s also married to my cousin Michael—and the two of them are just perfect together. One of the things I’ve always admired about Hannah is how much she loves being around children and how naturally wonderful she is with them. She has such a sweet, kind, and nurturing spirit that shines through in everything she does. One of my favorite memories with her will always be at her wedding, during the bouquet toss. She threw it—and I caught that bouquet like a football player. I’ll never forget when her DJ, Clark, joked, “That looked a little delivered.” Who would’ve known that I’d actually be the next one getting married—and that Hannah would be right here beside me as my Matron of Honor. Hannah, thank you so much for all the love, advice, and help you’ve given me throughout this wedding planning journey. I am so grateful for you, and I couldn’t imagine this day without you by my side. And of course—thank you for delivering that bouquet to me.

Bri Young

Bridesmaid

I could say so much about Bri—my little sister, my best friend, and truly so much more. We’ve been on a long journey together in life, and we’re still walking it side by side to this very day. We first met through a very special person, Jacob Young, who may be gone but will never be forgotten. Her family has always been like my own, and through the worst and the best, we’ve always been there for each other. We share so many wonderful memories that it’s hard to choose just one, but one of my favorites will always be the time we tried to make a trip up to Morrow Mountain in my 1992 Mazda Miata. Bri already knows this story! We made it as far as the Sonic off 24–27 before the Miata started surging. I pulled over, knowing the alternator was about to give out. It was freezing outside, and we sat there for about an hour until I gave that car a little rub on the dash—and somehow she came back to life just long enough to limp us home. We never made it to the mountains that day, but it’s still one of my favorite memories with her. Bri, you have the biggest heart. You love hard, you care deeply, and you’re an incredible person all around. Having you by my side on my wedding day as one of my beautiful bridesmaids makes my heart so happy. You’re my favorite bafoon, and I’m so thankful for you. Thank you, Bri!

Cassidy Parker

Bridesmaid

Oh boy, where do I even start with this one… She’s my wild, free-spirited, SpongeBob-quoting cowgirl. My partner in crime. My best friend. She’s a fighter, that’s for sure—but also one of the kindest, funniest, and most big-hearted people I know. She loves hard, and she’s been by my side for over 10 years. Together, we’ve packed in more awesome memories than I can count—like celebrating her 21st birthday at Coyote Joe’s or riding horses together. But one memory in particular will forever stand out. It was a gorgeous day, and she was doing my hair. After we finished up, we were heading out for the night. I reminded her, “Hey, watch out for my Miata parked next to you.” She said, “Okay, I will.” Now, keep in mind—this tiny girl was driving a big ol’ diesel truck at the time. She starts to pull out of the parking lot, and the next thing I hear is crunch. Sure enough, it was my poor Miata. The fender was toast. So, I took it off and brought it to a car meet where everyone signed it—and I still have that signed fender to this very day. Moral of the story? She can’t drive. The end! …Oh wait—“Is mayonnaise an instrument?” Love you, girl. Thank you for being my wild, hilarious, unforgettable bridesmaid.

Kristin Smith

Bridesmaid

Alright Kristin, you’re up! First off, I am so excited to have you as my sister-in-law. I’ve known you all my life, and you’ve always been such a sweet, beautiful, and funny girl. Watching you grow up over the years has been so special, and I take pride in having been part of that. You’re such an awesome aunt to Brantley—he absolutely adores you. I have so many good memories with you (and yes, a few we’ll just leave out 😆). One of my most recent favorites was at your Nanny and Pawpaw’s house, Helen and Richard Smith’s place. I set up the splash pad for Brantley, and we ended up playing in it with him. It was so much fun for him—and honestly for me too! Another memory I’ll always love is when we went to Reed’s Gold Mine together. Kristin, I am so excited to have you standing beside me as one of my beautiful bridesmaids on my wedding day. Thank you for being such a wonderful sister-in-law and an amazing aunt to Brantley. And of course—thanks for letting me marry your brother. 💕

Jaden Johnson

Bridesmaid

Well Jaden, I guess I have to write something nice about you—because you really are such a special person in my life. But don’t think for a second that I won’t still beat you up if you ever break my brother’s heart. Kidding… not really. From the very beginning, you’ve been such a down-to-earth girl who just fit right into our family. You make my brother, Chase Rogers, so happy, and that means the world to me. You’re smart, beautiful, and a total badass. One of my favorite things has been watching your journey—from riding on the back of Chase’s motorcycle, to learning to ride for yourself, to now owning your own bike. That’s the kind of strength and determination I admire in you. Now, if I had to pick one thing I don’t like—it would definitely be your pink bookbag that somehow always manages to cause chaos on our family vacations. 😆 But in all seriousness, I am so grateful to have you as one of my beautiful bridesmaids. Thank you for loving my brother the way you do, and thank you for becoming such an important part of our family. Love you! And just so we’re clear—I can fight in a wedding dress. Don’t forget that. 💕

Kimmy Engledow

Bridesmaid

Kimmy, you are such a beautiful woman with an amazing personality. I love that we can go from serious conversations to laughing until we can’t breathe—it’s the best. Meeting you through your man, Tyler Greene, was such a blessing. I’ve known Tyler since high school, and our friendship really sparked through our Jeeps. But then came you, and seeing you two welcome your handsome baby boy into the world and become a family of three has been one of the greatest joys in my life. What makes it even more special is knowing our boys now get to grow up together. That’s something I’ll always cherish. Our friendship is truly one of a kind. One of my favorite things to do with you is going out on the boat at Lake Tillery with our boys and just having the best time. Kimmy, thank you for being such a wonderful part of my life and for standing by my side on this special day. It means the world to me to have you here. I love you, girl!
