Meet our ohana who are a part of the ceremony!

Marisa's younger sister. She is very protective of Marisa and will fight Scott for her any day. Sarina goes to school at Temple University in Tokyo.

Sarina Pierre

Scott's step-father, who is also very protective of Marisa and will fight Scott about it any day. You can expect him to break out into song and dance at a moment's notice.

Julio Ubides

Marisa's college roommate and best friend from marching band. She recently got married to Oscar and have adopted two cats, Melo and Sasha.

Annalyssa Manning

One of Scott's earliest friends from living in Oswego. He and Scott were basically neighbors and shared a lot of classes through high school.

Nolan Cooper

Marisa's best friend since elementary school. They've known each other since kindergarten and stayed in touch while she went to art school.

Miyou Takisawa

Scott's friend from back in elementary school. At the time of writing - he's the only one to have visited Scott and Marisa in Hawaii.

Nikesh Patel

Marisa and Scott's Marching Illini section mate and friend. She currently lives in Honolulu with her husband Wes.

Kiran Murphy

One of Scott's best friends from college - they were in the same fraternity and Brandon eventually joined the marching band during their last fall semester on campus.

Brandon Berg

Marisa's best friend since middle school. Marisa convinced her to go to school at U of I with her so they wouldn't have to be apart after high school.

Ayana Kawahara

Tiana is one of Scott's best friends from Oswego, and the best trombone player he knows. They both went to different Big 10 colleges to become music educators.
