Our Favorite Hikes

We've included some of our favorite local trails for anyone feeling adventurous! Please keep in mind that Colorado is at a higher elevation than many of our guests are used to and you may feel a bit ill or more fatigued than usual. Take it slow, drink more water than you think you need, and consider bringing a can of oxygen if you go exploring! Colorado is also notorious for unpredictable and quick-moving weather. Pack clothing that can be worn in layers and keep your eyes on the skies if you decide to do any hiking above the treeline!
Question

Round Mountain Nature Trail

Answer

This 2 mile out and back is the hike of our very first date! It's a fairly easy trail, but does have some steep inclines that can feel challenging if you aren't acclimated.

Question

Horsetooth Falls

Answer

This 2.2 mile out and back trail is a great hike for out-of-towners. There's very little elevation gain and by mid-June the waterfall should be flowing nicely!

Question

Ouzel Falls

Answer

This 5.3mile out and back trail also leads to an absolutely beautiful waterfall. We would say this trail is a bit more moderate if you're not an experienced hiker. Please note that this trail is in Rocky Mountain National Park, so you will need to plan ahead with a timed entry reservation.

Question

Devils Backbone Trailhead

Answer

Generally considered an easy trail, Devil's Backbone is nice if you just want a leisurely trail-walk with some amazing views; the loop is 4.3 miles total. Be aware: Snakes like this trail too!
