Hotel
Family and Friends traveling to Guatemala City for our wedding, we’d like to ask you to please stay at the AC Marriott hotel from Thursday to Sunday (or longer if desired). The AC Marriott Hotel is located in Ciudad Cayalá; place where we will be having our wedding ceremony. Cayalá also has a wide variety of dining, entertainment and shopping options. It features shared roads and it is also very safe. We have a set of rooms blocked for our wedding guests. These are available at a discounted rate- please refer to the booking link below.
Flight
All major US airlines (American, United and Delta) have flights to Guatemala City - La Aurora International Airport. We recommend any of those three. To make the most out of your time and to avoid any potential flight disruptions, we do not recommend flights that have layovers in other Latin-American countries (i.e. Mexico or Panama).
Shuttle
April 5, 2024 6:00 pm - 2:30 am
We will be providing transportation for both the Welcome Dinner and the Wedding from the AC Marriott Hotel. We will be sharing more details on the shuttles as we get closer to the wedding day.
Travel Note
If you're staying at the AC Marriott in Guatemala City the night before and/or after your flights, we recommend you coordinate the transportation to and from the airport with the hotel. The AC Marriott hotel offers airport shuttle services at an additional cost of $20. To schedule the hotel's shuttle, email ac.guaar.fd@marriott.com and include your contact info, travel schedule, and flight number. If you will be traveling to other places in Guatemala (i.e. Antigua, Atitlan or Tikal) and will not be staying at the AC hotel the night after/before your flight, we recommend that you have Elizabeth Bell at Antigua Tours coordinate a shuttle for you. To get in touch with Elizabeth, please reach out to WhatsApp: +(502) 5710 - 7911 or Email: weddings@antiguatours.net
Travel Note
April is one of the sunniest yet one of the hottest months of the year in Guatemala. We recommend bringing summer clothes.
Travel Note
The Guatemalan currency is the "Quetzal" and the exchange rate is roughly Q8 to $1. We recommend that you exchange currency at the airport when you arrive to Guatemala City. Most formal businesses accept all major credit cards. Informal businesses such as flea and street markets, typically do not. If you’re coming for a few days, we recommend you exchange $50-$100.
