Galeão International Airport

Popularly known by its original name, "Galeão", the Antonio Carlos Jobim/Galeão International Airport (GIG) is the main airport serving Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. It is about a 30-60 minute drive to popular neighborhoods like Leblon, Ipanema (where we recommend you stay) and Copacabana. Traffic can be an issue during rush hours, so please allow plenty of time to get to and from the airport.

This is one of the nicest hotels in Rio and is located on the famous Ipanema Beach. It's about a 10 min walk from the hotel where the bride and groom will be staying.

This hotel is located in one of the nicest neighborhoods in Rio. It is only 2 blocks from the beach. There are plenty of bars and restaurants a short walk from the hotel as well as a grocery store and pharmacy. It's about a 10 min uber ride from where the bride and groom will be staying, or take a nice long stroll down Leblon and Ipnema beach for about 45 mins - a great way to see the city and get a workout in!

Car Rental

Parking (and driving) in Rio can be difficult so we recommend NOT getting a rental car. Uber is very easy to use in the city of Rio and we recommend using this option.
