All major airlines fly into Puerto Rico (Jet Blue, American Airlines, Delta, Southwest, etc). The airport code for the Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport is SJU. The airport is located about 10 minutes away from La Concha Hotel (or any other hotel in the Condado area.). You can schedule a taxi or Uber upon exiting baggage claim to take you to your hotel.
Travel Note
Those visiting Puerto Rico should reference the local measures in place to keep travelers and residents safe, developed by the Puerto Rico Tourism Company (PRTC), such as social distancing, and high standards of cleanliness in accordance with CDC and EPA guidelines. Masks are required in all indoor spaces, regardless of vaccination status. Those unvaccinated or between the ages of 2 and 11 must also wear masks in public areas when unable to social distance.
Travel Note
Please be aware of new measures for presenting vaccinations and negative tests: Lodging - Vaccinations are required for both employees and guests of all hotels, paradores, guesthouses, and short-term rentals across the Island. Those not vaccinated must present a negative PCR or antigen test taken within 72 hours of the beginning of their visit. If staying longer than one week, they must continue to present negative tests on a weekly basis. Those not vaccinated due to medical or religious reasons must provide proper documentation confirming this and are still required to present negative tests on a weekly basis. Eateries - Proof of vaccination is required for all patrons and employees of restaurants, food courts, bars, chinchorros, or any indoor location where food and beverages are prepared and served. Those not vaccinated will be required to provide a negative PCR or antigen test upon entry.
Travel Note
Mask usage is a federal law on airplanes and in airports. Those entering any of the Island’s three open airports, whether on commercial or private aircrafts, are required to fill out a Travel Declaration Form on the Puerto Rico Health Department’s online portal which produces a QR code to proceed. Both international/not vaccinated travelers must also upload a negative PCR molecular or antigen COVID-19 test result to the portal. Fully vaccinated travelers entering on domestic flights are permitted to upload their vaccination card instead of a negative test. Given federal mandates, the requirement will remain in place for travelers on international flights. All passengers will also be required to present their ID to ensure alignment with the information entered within the Travel Declaration Form.
Travel Note
For fully vaccinated travelers on domestic flights: Required to upload official Vaccination Card, as proof of vaccination through the Travel Declaration Form portal. Travelers are required to upload their official vaccination card. A copy will not be accepted. For non-vaccinated travelers arriving on domestic flights: Required to provide evidence of either a PCR molecular or antigen COVID-19 test taken within 72 hours of arrival. If the traveler arrives without a test, they must upload either a PCR molecular or antigen COVID-19 test taken on the Island, within 48 hours of arrival, or they will receive a $300 fine. If the uploaded result is negative, the quarantine is lifted. If the result is positive, the person must isolate and follow the local isolation protocol at his/her own expense.
