We’re Getting Married!

Marika and Scotty met in Mexico last year on a beach while playing volleyball. What began as a chance encounter quickly turned into something neither of them expected. Within less than 24 hours, it was clear their connection was something special. At the time, Scott was on a work trip and Marika was there with family, but that didn’t stop what was beginning to unfold. They left that trip knowing there was something worth pursuing beyond that moment. Not long after, they began traveling to see each other between North Carolina and Seattle, where their relationship truly began to grow. What started as a spark quickly became something deeply intentional. Together, they have grown not only in love, but in purpose. They have traveled on a mission trip to the Philippines, strengthened their faith, and come under mentorship that has helped shape both their relationship and their individual walks with God. They have pushed one another to grow professionally, supported each other through new seasons, and built a foundation rooted in both emotional depth and spiritual alignment. Their relationship has been marked by intention, choosing each other daily, growing together, and keeping Jesus at the center through every season. Every step of their story has reflected God’s timing. His hand has been evident from the beginning, opening doors, aligning their paths, and leading them into this next chapter. Marika and Scotty are excited to step into marriage with Jesus at the center and begin this new covenant together. They are incredibly grateful for each person who will be there to celebrate with them
