FAQs

Do you have any questions about the wedding? We have answers! We want our wedding to be an inclusive and welcome space to everyone. Please give all of our guests the same respect and kindness you wish to recieve.
Question

What should I wear?

Answer

We ask that you wear cocktail attire! This means no jeans or athleisure wear.

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

We will update you with the forecast as it gets closer, but normally this time of year is warm and sunny.

Question

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The simple answer is both! As long as the weather is nice, the ceremony will be held outdoors and the dinner will be held indoors. The cocktail hour and reception will be indoors with the option to go outside.

How do I get to the venue?

Answer

The address of the Van Dusen is 1900 Lasalle Ave, Minneapolis, MN 55403. There is a free parking lot behind the venue, off of Pillsbury Avenue. There will not be a shuttle between the venue and the Hyatt Regency, but it is just a 3 minute drive or Uber ride, or a 12 minute walk!

Answer

We have a block of rooms at the Hyatt Regency in Minneapolis! You can find the details on our Hotel page. There are also a number of other hotels and AirBnBs in the area.

Yes! There are ramps throughout the venue.

Will there be food and drinks available?

Answer

Yes! We will be serving appetizers, dinner, dessert, and late night snacks. Drinks will be available throughout the night, alcoholic and non-alcoholic.

Question

Will there be any special diet accomodations?

Answer

We are already planning to have vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options avaialble. If you have any other dietary restrictions, please let us know so we can try to accomodate them.

Question

Can I take and post photos of the wedding?

Answer

We do ask that you keep your phones on silent and refrain from taking any photos during the ceremony, as we will have a professional photographer. But after the ceremony, feel free to take and share photos as you wish!
