Question

What should I wear?

Answer

we listed our attire as "semi-formal" but there's no such thing as being "over-dressed". Keep in mind that California weather in August is HOT. The ground in the space is concrete so heels are OK.

Question

what's parking going to be like?

Answer

Our wedding is taking place at Mariel's parents' house, located in a cul-de-sac, so parking may be pretty cramped. We've held dozens of huge parties at the house and have never had a problem, though you may need to walk a little bit through the neighborhood. Like suggested on the details card of the invitation, "due to limited parking and unlimited alcohol, carpooling and rideshare apps greatly encouraged".

Question

what covid precautions will be in place?

Answer

In light of the recent rise in covid cases, we’re updating the safety precautions for our upcoming wedding. We are requesting proof of full vaccination for each guest. We are asking those that are not fully vaccinated at least 2 weeks prior to 8/21 to please test and forward us a negative result within 72 of our ceremony. Masks are also HIGHLY encouraged, especially for those that are not fully vaccinated. Ceremony and reception will be taken place outdoors. If these requests have altered your choice of attendance, we completely understand and will miss the honor of your presence on our big day. Additionally, if you or a member of your household is feeling ill, regardless of vaccination status or test results, we kindly ask that you refrain from attending in order to keep our guests safe. You may text Mariel or Neil your vaccination status (ASAP preferably) or test result (within 72 hrs of ceremony).

Question

Can I bring a guest?

Answer

Due to limited space at the house, we've reserved a specific number of seats per person/couple/family. The number of seats we've reserved for you can be found on the RSVP card of your invitation. If we receive some declined RSVPs, it is possible to find room in the guestlist- however, unlikely.

Question

is there a hotel nearby?

Answer

The closest hotel accommodations would be at Pacific Palms Resort 1 Industry Hills Pkwy, City of Industry, CA Since most of our guests are local, we do not have a block of rooms reserved at this time.
