Maid of Honor
Sam is in grad school at OSU to become a Speech Pathologist! Sam and I have been friends all my life. Sam is family. That's twenty-four years of memories and dozens of childhood sleepovers spent chatting about what our future weddings would be like. We would imagine what princess dress we would be wearing and what prince we would be saying 'I DO' to at the end of the aisle. Throughout those twenty-four years and ever changing taste and opinions, one thing never changed: I always knew Sam would be standing next to me sharing my wedding day as a maid of honor. -Marie

Caroline lives in San Diego and works in marketing! You may think I am the luckiest person in the world to be blessed with two lifelong best friends, and you'd be correct! Caroline and I have been friends since we were born; that's a whole lotta time; and most of that time has been spent laughing. I can thank Caroline for any bit of abs I may have because her and I will laugh until our bellies hurt and we are blue in the face. Caroline and I went through a phase in middle school where we decided we were pastry chef prodigies and our skills in the kitchen were superior to what any cook book could teach us. We would spend hours adding ingredients to a bowl and expecting it to come out of the oven Martha Stewart-approved. Let's just say, cook books exist for a reason! -Marie

Roommates. Most of us have had a few roommates and perhaps a few roommate horror stories. But following my saga of dramatic freshman year roommate fiascos came one of my best friends, Caitlin. Caitlin and I lived together at Kent State University, and I thank God for that every day. We have been each other's rock since sophomore year of college and sometimes all you really need to boost your mood is for Caitlin to knock on the shared wall between your rooms in your crappy college house and ask if you want to go get a giant plate of chicken fingers from Rockne's and watch the Bachelor. Now Caitlin and I both live in NYC and I am so thankful for her! Cait is a Bridal Consultant at Kleinfeld's! Yes, that IS the bridal boutique from Say Yes to the Dress! -Marie

Liz and I met my freshman year of college through our sorority. If you know anything about college Greek Life you will know what it means that Liz is my big, and I am her little. If you closely know me, you may know that at the time, I thought that being a freshman at college was the absolute bane of my existence. That is, until i met Liz! We started hanging out all the time and were each other's dates for many college functions! Liz is a busy, busy girl, always adventuring and traveling. She recently graduated from a grad program in Florence, Italy - the same city where we both studied abroad! But even though Liz is always on her way to the next location, she is the type of friend that when you so spend time together, it's like no time has passed! Liz works in the fashion industry! -Marie

It's funny how certain people come into your life and unexpected friendships can form. Even funnier when the person is your brother's ex-girlfriend from a million years ago. Sahar and I met through my brother, Seth. Seth and Sahar have known each other for years and I am so thankful to have spent enough time third-wheeling with them, that now Sahar and I are great friends! Sahar lives in Brooklyn, right by me! She has been such a light in this city, always introducing me to her friends and finding delicious new restaurants for us to try out! There is nothing better than a lunch date at Butcher's Daughter Cafe with Sahar, Josh, and I! Sahar goes to school here in New York to become a Clinical Psychologist! -Marie

Madi is Josh's big sister! She is a traveling Physical Therapist and has lived in multiple cities for work! How fun is it that after twenty-four whole years of only having a brother, I am finally going to have a sister as well! Madi and I have many similarities and equally as many differences - to me, that is the best type of friendship! She is so funny, it's impossible to be around her and not end up with a big smile on your face. Upon meeting Madi a few years ago, it was easy for me to tell that we would have an ever-growing friendship for the rest of our lives. She has the type of bubbly energy that anyone would be lucky to spend time with and I am blessed to call her my new sister. -Marie

As most of you know, I moved to New York City a little over a year ago. Jordan was my first new friend I made in the city. We pretty immediately clicked and realized there is never a dull moment when we are hanging out. From strategically making sure our work desks are next to each-other to texting 24/7 and attending as many happy hours as possible, we quickly grew such a valuable friendship. Lucky for Josh and I, Jordan and her boyfriend are also the perfect pair to double date with! Jordan is full of energy and the perfect friend to live out my twenty-something year old years in New York City with.

Connor and I followed each other on Instagram for a few years before we ever actually met. He always seemed really nice but our paths never crossed until he and Mike bought a photobook I made from me in 2020. Instead of shipping or dropping it off at their house, we made it a day of biking downtown Cleveland and hanging out, which was super fun! Connor is one of the kindest and fun to hang out with people I've ever known. We talk pretty regularly in a group chat we're in with Mike and Ben since I don't live in Ohio anymore, but every time I come back to Ohio I make it a point to see Connor and whoever else is in town. He lives in University Heights and works for a nonprofit in Cleveland.

I started hanging out with Bryant in 6th grade; most of the time we would go skate at the indoor park in Brookpark, which is a funny place to talk about with Noah and Bryant. Noah, Bryant, and I went on a month-long road trip across the U.S when we were 19; this trip was easily my favorite trip I've ever been on. There was a ton of camping, skating, partying, and hiking between us. Bryant loves to check out new places and is a huge nature aficionado - so much so that he moved to Colorado. Bryant lives in Denver where he works as an engineer.

Andrew and I are cousins. When I moved to the same town as him in 6th grade, he was very caring and made sure to include me in everything, and helped me get my social footing in our school. He and I partnered with noah on a science project in 7th grade (which is how I met Noah), and the three of us have become wonderful friends. We spent almost an entire Summer at my house in middle school hanging out in the town's rock storage space next to my house, playing video games, and doing whatever middle school boys do. Andrew is currently living in Dayton, Ohio with his girlfriend Jasmine. He's in medical school at Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio, and is planning to practice as a pediatric/family doctor.

I met Noah in 7th grade when he, Andrew, and I partnered for a science project. We were doing some experiment to test the flammability of Twinkies, and instead of wasting time doing the experiment, Noah and Andrew watched as I ate all Twinkies in the box at the same time. Super weird, but apparently this made it clear to Noah that we needed to keep hanging out. We've been all over the U.S together on a few trips, and every trip is always incredibly memorable. Getting separated/lost in Zion, camping with wolves in Albuquerque, and almost getting detained/arrested at the Canadian border are but a few of the memories I hold from these trips. Noah currently works as a software engineer for Progressive and is living with his partner Margaret in Tremont.

Colin is one of Marie's best friends, and before he moved to New York, I had only met him once or twice. However, since he moved to New York, we've become a lot closer! Colin grew up and went to school with Marie; now that Colin lives near us, Marie and I hang out with him once every week or two. Colin works as a marketing coordinator in New York.

Seth is Marie's brother, and in the last three and a half years, we've become pretty close. For a long time Seth lived on the west side of Cleveland while Marie went to Kent State and I lived far east, so we didn't hang out as much. When the pandemic started, Seth bought a house in Novelty, which made it easier to meet up. Seth is a genuine, kind-hearted person who loves animals. He has a cat, Odie, along with chickens, ducks, several types of fish and turtles, and a hedgehog named Cleo. This past Christmas, Marie and I's two cats Hugo and Sprout to stay with him and Odie. We were happy to see Odie loves his cousins, and having our cats together was a good reason to come over and hang out almost every day. Seth lives in Novelty and helps operate his father's business in Rocky River.

I knew Ben in middle and high school mostly through being on the same soccer teams. We were always cool with each other but didn't hang out a ton in those years. It wasn't until I started biking with Connor and Cip that Ben and I became really good friends. When you bike with someone, sometimes you end up spending more time talking than riding because you're taking in views, biking specifically to bars/events, waiting for traffic lights, etc... Biking was a good way to become closer to one another and realize we should've (like Connor and Cip) been closer friends when we were in school. Ben recently moved to Tremont with a few friends and works as a _____ in downtown Cleveland.

Mike Cipriani (who goes by "Cip" more often than "Mike") is another friend I met at the same time as Connor. I don't think I had ever talked to him before hanging out with him and Connor, and I wish I had known them longer than I have. Connor and Cip are pretty similar, and up until Cip moved to Columbus, together at seemingly every waking moment like Jay and Silent Bob. Cip says when his lease is up in Columbus this Summer he may be moving to New York, which is my dream. Mike currently works for VF remotely and lives in Columbus, Ohio.
