WTF is up with Covid??

The wedding is ON for May 4th-8th 2021. The only way it will be cancelled this time is if there is a statewide mandatory quarantine. Since we are at a private residential location there are no "number of people" rules or "mask mandates" on the property. Everyone's comfort level is different so do what YOU are comfortable with. Our guest count is down significantly and only at about 30-40 people. Wedding ceremony and most activities are outdoors. Since this isn't booked like a "traditional" wedding through a venue or hotel rooms, after Feb. 22nd we have to solidify and pay all balances and individual refunds cannot be given (unless we completely cancel the wedding due to lockdowns). We are paying out of pocket for all rentals. This may or may not bring peace of mind to you, but Jackie & Marie have traveled 3 times on planes and vacations since July 2020 and everything has been great. The airlines and traveling have been very safe and sanitary in all of our experiences.

How do we get around? Shuttle Package

Answer

If you are not driving down or renting a car, we will have multiple 14 passenger shuttles rented for the entire trip. It will cost $100 per person and will include the drivers as well as all and any rides at reasonable times. The shuttles will be available for 10 hours a day, including to and from the airport (2 hour drive), group excursions, river tubing pick ups, as well as personal use for doing your own thing (other personal excursions, shopping/dinner in nearby Blue Ridge, etc.) IF YOU WANT TO BE COUNTED in on the shuttle, please RSVP on the RSVP page as soon as possible. Payment of $100/person is due to us by February 22, 2021. THERE ARE SOME LIMITATIONS to the shuttle use as we wont have them 24/7 and if they are both already being used for major group activities then there won't be a spare one available for small groups.

Where do I stay? House Rentals

Info also on "Travel" page - Please contact Marie or Jackie for your rental pricing and photos/house info. We have rented 2 other large, beautiful houses in the neighborhood for our guests. They are in walking distance of the main house and are MUCH cheaper/larger than a hotel stay. Including river access, hot tubs, fire pits, suites, bars/game rooms, fishing docks, fireplaces, patios, etc. They are grouped by England family, DeMoe family, and Friends. Please contact Marie or Jackie for pricing and photos/house info.

When are all payments due?

February 22, 2021. Besides your flight, we have already reserved the houses and the shuttle so all payments can be made to us. We can do Venmo or cash/check or whatever, Please contact us for your preferred method before February 22nd :) We are on a strict timeframe for payments so that we can cancel any additional buses and housing we will not need before we are charged.

Tuesday - welcome dinner 6pm @ Main House Wednesday - brunch at waterfall hike **This meal is not provided, but we will be stopping at the mountain top restaurant if you would like to order food** Wednesday- rehearsal dinner 6:30pm @Main House Thursday *wedding day* - cocktail hour hor dourves 5:30 @Main House Thursday - reception dinner 7:15pm @Main House Friday- pizza party 7pm @Main House *Breakfast/Snack baskets will be provided in the 2 rental homes

Where do I get other food/alcohol for my stay?

unfortunately Mineral Bluff IS A DRY COUNTY so plan ahead! We will have drinks at the house and the first thing scheduled when we arrive in Mineral Bluff on the 4th is a grocery& liquor store run , but other options are... For basic wine & beer= Citgo gas station- 10124 Blue Ridge Dr. Blue Ridge, GA 30513 (17min. drive) For fine wine & craft beer = Blue Ridge Cellars - 500 E. Main st. #206 Blue Ridge, GA 30513 (18min. drive) For liquor = Murphy ABC store- 818 W. US-64, Murphy, NC 28906 (28min. drive) or Appalachian Beverage- 399 Mountain view dr. East Ellijay, GA 30540 (36min. drive) There are multiple grocery stores in Blue Ridge, about 15 minutes from the house. Some meals will also be provided *see "Provided meals" You are also welcome to visit local restaurants on your own. There are plenty of great options in nearby Blue Ridge.
