There are multiple routes to get to and from the venue; we have found the best way is to input Glass Hill Venue into your GPS (Google Maps works best). Please note that no matter which route you take the roads are rural; thus, having little to no light at night and have many sharp turns/curves. We highly recommend car pooling and having a designated driver for the night. Please note that no cars are able to be left at the venue overnight and there are very few Ubers/Lyfts in the area.
Most people are staying in Lynchburg or in the Lynchburg area. There are many Airbnb's in the area and there are three great hotels listed in our travel section.
If you do not mind flying into a regional airport then Lynchburg Regional Airport and Roanoke Blacksburg Regional Airport will the the closest to the venue. The next best airport would be Richmond International Airport which is about a 2 hour to 2 hour and 15 minute drive from Lynchburg. If you are looking at arriving early in the week and wish to tour Washington DC we would recommend flying into Dulles International Airport or Reagan National Airport. Please note that these are about 3 hours away from Lynchburg.
Washington DC is about a 3 hour drive from Lynchburg. Note that depending on where you are staying in Lynchburg could increase or decrease the time.
We will not be requiring guests to wear masks or to socially distance but if you feel more comfortable wearing one or distancing please feel free to do so.
The ceremony will be outdoors; however, the reception will be indoors.
